I just played an Apocalypse game over weeked where my opponenants brought 1 Warlord titan, 1 Warhound Titan, & 1 Gargantuan Squiggoth. So effectively 3 titans, and this 3000 Army gave them nightmares:

The Build:

Lord Castellan's Supreme Command formation (Apocalypse reloaded)
- Each Command squad has HW team with Lascannons
- Each Squad mans the Bunkers that the formation grants you.

General Grizmond from the Imperial Armour Vol 1 update (page 14 called Grace of the Throne) http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/Downloads/Product/PDF/i/IA1update28AUG.pdf
-grants every tank the ability to pick a couple of Ace Crew skills from the same PDF (page 18)

20 Hydra flak tanks from the same PDF
- Give each vehicle Ace Gunner, and Veteran commander skills
- Bonuse this adds AA Mount to the standard Hydra (just in case someone plays a flyer you can accually use your anti-aircraft gun against them)

This entire build will be just under 3000, so feel free to play around with the points for either extra Hydra, a scoring unit, skills for Grizmund, etc.

Deployment:

For the SUPREME Headquarters asset that Creeds formation grants you place it where there's enought space and visability for 20 Hyrdas next to it. Then deploy all your Hydras so that they are within 24" of the Supreme Headquarters marker.

Deploy Creeds Command Squads inside the bunkers that his formation gives you as an asset

Strategy:

All your Hyrdas now have Ace Gunner which gives +1 AP. Also if your hyrdas are within 24" of the Supreme Headquarters marker you may give them TANK HUNTERS (and I don't see why you wouldn't)

So now your STR 7 Hydras are now effectively STR 9 vs vehicles.

The Veteran Commander skill you gave each Hydra will give you one reroll on one dice per hydra per game (so make it count). This reroll can be used on any single dice roll related to tank ( Armor Penetration, dangerous terrain, etc). I used it mainly for the Vehicle Damage roll, rerolling all 1's, 2's.

Now I know some of you may be thinking "Vehicle Damage is about the other vehicle, so how can you get a reroll on this"? My argument was "The Damage roll is happening because my Tank is shooting you in the face, so yes I get a reroll", and that ended that.

Also it would be a good idea before you do any rolling to have different color dice for every 4 Hydra shots. this will make life easier when determining what to reroll, and which reroll came from which tank.

Also would be a good idea to place a piece of paper marker on every tank that has used it's reroll to avoid confusion.

Mathhammer:

20 Hydra's = 80 shots

BS 3 (Twin-linked) = 60 shots hitting

AV14 vs STR7 +2AP = 10 Glances , 10 Penetrating hits (reroll 1's, 2's on penetrating hits first, then reroll 1-4's, on the Glancing hits if you'd like).

Enhancements:

Percission Strike Asset (2+ to Hit, twin linked)
HammerBlow Asset

Officio Assasinorum Execution Force formtaion http://www.games-workshop.com/MEDIA_CustomProductCatalog/m1180095_Imperial_Guard_Datasheet_-_Officio_Assassinorum_Execution_Force.pdf
-Take 6 Callidus Assassins
-Move a titan 36" and turn it around so that the rear armour is facing your Hydra Gunline (AV13 vs STR7 +2AP = 10 Glances , 20 Penetrating hits)

Closing thoughts

This build worked insanely well. I acutally had to wait two turns to kill the Warlord titan, because of Blind Barrage on the first turn, and then on the second turn I rendered the Warlord useless, then moved on to the Gargantuan Squiggoth that was advancing into my front lines.

Turn 3 the Warlord made a very impressive firework display.

Oh, so what about the Warhound titan? Hammerblow on turn 1 baby.
