Hope it is okay to post this here, as it is modelling related and despite the scale difference, I hope you will find it interesting and inspirational!

what scale are these...? at first i thought these were some kind of acting pictures of a film... then it struck me they are made with puppets...looks like a Ken of barbie sized puppet range?

1/6 Scale Vik
So the figures are 12" approx. Pretty certain they will be the Dragon collectors range, which is why they look as you describe.

The figures I am not terribly familiar with but when I have seen them they did look good.

The scenery and model making is incredible. Only looked at the V2 Site, Arnhem and the Dora Railway Gun- Yes a 1/6 scale Railway Gun!!

saw a railway gun once in a diorama at the museeum... hughe would be an understatement here...ad there and then there too, it was all over the place...must have taken ages to do...
i for one looked longest at a broken track of a german half track, soldier gets attacked and then tried to taken into custody by a russion soldier with a nice psh 41 (?) and then later the german gets backup... cool storyline...this was the part what i had to do the doubleswitch look..."huh?" as to realise thats not a photographed pic with actors but puppets...

really outstanding work

whoa i had no idea, had a look ad the railgun now and boy is that a big one... i imagine some nice faces on controling traffic policemen when they see him driving by with the maingun on that carrier...lol
must have taken ages and the money needed only for the very well looking wood he had used... whoa, but then agian i saw a cougar in the driveway and thats telling a story about no sorries about money all in itself...
is the guy from the netherlands? or british? he had a yellow tag at the car...

Reminds me of G.I. Joe old figures, now the railgun is wild. "Hello? Yes, my neighbor has made a huge artillery piece in his yard!, yes, I said artillery piece, and he has little german uniformed gnomes all over it!"

"Your mumblings are awakening the sleeping Dragon, be wary when meddling the affairs of Dragons, for thou art tasty and go good with either ketchup or chocolate. "
Dragons fear nothing, if it acts up, we breath magic fire that turns them into marshmallow peeps. We leaguers only cry rivets!

Not sure Vik assumed the guys are German for some reason.
The figures are a bit like DI Joe and are poseable in the same way, but are more refined I imagine. They are certainly a notch up from the British equivalent "Action Man" which theselves were not that bad in the later guises.

The Dragon figures were around £30 a pop ten years ago and not really meant for kids to throw around the backyard!

Edit: They are living in England Vik, as staed on the homepage.

I cant help but imagine Tech priests, servitors and imperial Guardsman all over the Rail Gun, now at their size it would make it a true scale orbital defence Cannon!! >

I would love to see that... a gustav barrel poking out of the letterbox..."tresspassers will be shot"

The guy is british he lives in Essex I believe, hes a retired model maker and owns a huge farm on which he frequently sets up massive 1/6th dioramas with a small group of fellow enthusiasts featuring vehicles and buildings that he scratch builds in his workshop as well as hundreds of 12" fully posable models ( think highly detailed action men) . And Yes he built the Dora himself

How do I know this?.......... I used to be big in the 1/6th comunity ( known as 'Bhoy' ) and I was a moderator on the largest 1/6th Forum in the UK (UK ONESIXTH COLLECTORS CLUB) for 5 years.

I'm sure the guys name is Peter but for the life of me I cant recall his surname.

Edit>>>>>>. Doh didnt realise there was a link to the website.

Amazing.

Those Dragon figures were £20 odd to £30 a pop several years ago.

I know Dragon kits are not cheap atm so I dread to think what they go for now. But they are very nicely done. Miles above Action Man and GI Joe.

Have seen that there is a bit of remodelling and converting gets done with the figures. Not the sort of thing the kids play with in the sandpit!

Scorched Earth Diorama. Someone tell me they didn't build those model houses and then actually set fire to them.

Wow.. Those look absolutely amazing. Would LOVE to see them in real life. I gotta say my socks were blown to smithereens when I looked at the first one. Could have sworn it was a picture of actual people till I actually looked.

Its amazing what people can do with minis. Warhammer or not. I love stuff like this. Thanks for sharing ^_^

I would like to reassure you AoE but that would be telling porky pies.

I find it a surprise when watching the slideshows and then it gets to the pics with 1/1 scale people. Get drawn into the scenario and then the illusion is broken.

Wow...

All I had when I was a kid were the little G.I. Joe's who were always fighting something called C.O.B.R.A.

My uncle who was 10 years older had this guy!
