This doesn't look like a good idea.

You've traded Eldrad and an Avatar or a Farseer for two Phoenix Lords.

remember, Tyranids are very very choppy in close combat. Lash Whips, and Bone Swords will absolutely tear Karandras apart, Scorpions also lose to Stealers due to the crazy amount of attacks, initiative and rending. Scorpions can be useful at beating up on Gaunts, and the claws can be used to hit less cc oriented MCs but scorpions are going to have trouble against Nids.

Banshees are a mixed bag. They are a decent unit for smashing into Stealers, etc, due to their amazing initiative, but they lack strength, and you have no way doom their target. Further you have no transports for them, so they will likely just get torn apart by tyranid shooting.

Also remember they are only I10 on the 1st round of combat. It can be very easy to be counter charged while you are tied up, in which case you lose your initiative and get torn apart by Stealers even faster than scorpions.

If you want a cc unit on foot, go with Harlequins. They have excellent natural initiative and furious charge, and they have a shadow seer to protect them from any Tyranid shooting. As long as you keep em away from lash whip things, they'll do great.

Maugen Ra could be a decent addition to a harlie squad. He gives them an extremely accurate assault cannon. Other then that, I wouldn't take a Lord. and even then Ra is a skeptical choice.

Really you should go back to Eldrad. and fill out any extra points with dragon wagons to fry MCs.

Xom finds this thread hilarious!
