Yep! Really looking forward to that one as well. The store is awesome and the guys who run it really know what they're doing. If you haven't been to Grim before it's definitely worth the trip.

Ah. Whew. Well, that makes up my mind that it's not worth the drive then.

Thanks Ed! Now that I know I can run my grey knights I think I'm going to come up for this.

Mannahnin painting will be judged in its own catagory for this tournament. most armies will be fully painted

If anyone is interested in signing up I would recommend doing so by tonight. Our club meets on Mondays and the last few spots will probably be taken by people paying in person.

Nick, would love to give you another crack at beating me.

When you get your army painted

I'm somewhat in the same boat as Mannahnin. One of the reasons I travel to and pay to play at events is to play against painted armies. I can play against unpainted models at Ard Boyz events (which are free, so you kind of know what you're getting yourself into) or at my local store which are also free. Paying money to play against a bunch of grey plastic is kind of meh...

That being said, if we do end up against each other I'm sure it will be a fun game.

I can certainly understand that. My goal is to have my grey knights painted within the month. Hopefully I can accomlish that, but regardless I'm sure any game with you would prove to be fun and challenging.

What were the total results?

1st place - Nick Nanavati (Grey Knights)
2nd place - Jeffrey Fredrickson (Space Marines... I think)
3rd place - Alex Fennell (Deathwing)

Best Painted - Chris Johnson (Imperial Guard)

Best Sportsman - Ryan Sinnot (Orks... I think)

I just asked Bobby to send me the full spreadsheet so I'll publish that up on my site hopefully tonight. The placing reflects battle points only (painting and sportsmanship were given separate prizes).

I had a blast. Another very well run event. From a Nova standpoint I was very happy with my army - 3rd place with three solid wins but I couldn't claim enough of the bonuses along the way to get a crack at the top table in a 3 round event.

Looking forward to taking you on at the Nova, Nick, where you'll get a chance at revenge
