Greetings, Dakkanauts. I'm a new poster, but I've been lurking around for a few weeks. I'm now hoping to see if that research has done any good. Most of this is culled from DoP's DE Tactica, but I've chosen to include more assault elements.
The Baron is accompanied by a standard beast pack, with five Khymerae to absorb S6 attacks and four Razorwings for lethality. While their movement is somewhat restricted, I think the stealth and grenades USRs make the combination worth it. The Baron can't be mechanized, but when he gives you a 21/31 chance to win initiative it's hard not to take him anyway. Khymerae give him the best chance to survive until he can do something else useful.
Ravagers and Blasterborn provide most of the AT on this list, with two Haywire Wych units to round it out against some of the trickier elements like BHLRs and Monoliths. With Agonizer support and FNP, they're well-suited to deal with MEQ, as well. The Raiders themselves also serve to provide cover for some of the more vital units, like Ravagers. The shock prows were mostly an afterthought, but I'm sure I'll find uses for them with practice.
There's really not much to say about this list. Everything's in repetition and nothing has upgrades it shouldn't.
Only thing I'd look at is getting rid of the Shock Prows.

"And the moral of the story is: Appreciate what you've got, because basically, I'm fantastic."
Dash spoke quite highly of them in his Tactica. I had ten points that I wasn't sure where to throw. Presently, I'm intending to use them as way to teach myself about vehicle maneuvers and tank shock mechanics.
If you have any better ideas, I'm certainly open to hearing them, but the best alternative I found was giving one of the wych squads a shardnet.
Tank Shocking troops near board edges and on objectives is becoming an increasingly useful tactic. Since DE have such speed, it is possible to tank shock Turn 2 (Turn 1 if DoW) and possibly getting something shooty off the board (Long Fangs).

Okay, so suppose I wanted to trim it down to 1500. I'm thinking I'd just drop the two warrior-venoms.
I'd only have two troops options, but I think I'm okay with that -- I'd rather have a better chance of tabling my opponent than have 8 non-blaster kabalites that do nothing but grab objectives.
Is the list still solid, or is there somewhere else I should trim 250 points from?
