Hey guys so i've painted a few space wolf models before, and after receiving Canis Wolfborn for my birthday I figured i'd do my best attempt at painting him.

This is my first "big" model as im used to painting Space Marines or other single unit miniatures, so I though it would be fun if I documented my progress in a blog, not only to keep me motivated, but also for feedback from you guys.

I would like to apologize and state that this blog was somewhat of an after though so the progress starts with a semi painted minature, but will update daily from now on.

Thanks for reading and enjoy!

Day 1 "Before progress and the 30th Jan"

This is being written on the 31st as that is when the blog started, but I have photographs from the 30th so I'll start the blog from that day.

Previously, I had primed the model then base coated in Calthan brown then dry brushed in Bleached Bone. However the result was too messy for my taste and decided instead to strip and re prime the miniature. I then, one again, base coated in Calthan Brown and painted individual hairs with Bleached bone. This created a much smoother base for the washes to go on. I washed the bottom and feet of the minature with Gryphone Sepia and worked up to Devlan Mud then finally Badab Black. I then went back into the lower secion of the body and touched up the Bleached Bone, leaving the darker areas. I then also applied the same process to the face blending/feathering from Bleached Bone to a 50/50 mix of Calthan Brown and Chaos Black .The claws are painted Chaos Black just for now and only one side of the miniature is completed to this point.

I still have to finish highlighting the fur and do the eyes, as well as the other half of the fur.

Below is the result:
