ive only played 3 games with my bretonnians, and have lost all 3, but i think that is proably due to my noobness in fantasy as i am still getting used to my brets because it is a different ruleset from 40k and play differently than my IG. and i will most def watch that second one

Unfortunately, i think part of my issue is lack of necessary models, i only own about 24 KOTR, 40 MAA, 40 Bowmen, A lord with a lance, 2 damsels(1 on horse), 1 pegasus knight, 6 questing knights, and a trebuchet. It is also partially due to my lack of experience but that just gets fixed with more games.

This is the best tactica I've seen on Bretonnia. I highly recommend reading it when you get the chance.

nice, that is a good thread, i purchased 9 grail knights 1) because i always wanted them and think they kick A** 2) because apparently they are actually a good unit. I dont remember where i saw it, but i saw something when i was first buying the army that said they were bad...oh well.

also, that thread gave an awesome way to kit out the lord, i will definitely use that

Unfortunately you can't have duplicate magic items so one of those prayer icons have to go. I'd drop the one on the mounted damsel and give her either the Crown of Command, and lose it off the lord, or a dispel scroll. For lores I recommend you take beasts with the one on foot and either beasts or heavens with the mounted one. OVerall I think beasts on both would be ideal but heavens can work as well. Life is a good lore for a LvL 4 but being restricted to only 2 random spells doesn't make life very good.

Also I would try and get even a 5 point magic weapon on the lord. The FAQ allows characters to use Virtue of Heroism with magic items and there are a large number of VC players who can take etheral units or characters that can cause you no end of trouble if you can't get some kind of defense.

Looks good. I'd try and add a Standard of discipline to one unit so you can bump your lords LD up to 10 so he can pass it around to people.

I'd throw the banner of eternal flame on the Grail knight unit so you have something to cut through regeneration. As they strike at a higher Initiative if you multi charge a couple lances into the same unit all of them will benefit from the loss of regen.

To me half the reason I take archers is to act as a relatively useless drop I can throw down to see more of my opponents deployment. I don't know how much use you'll get out of 6 questing knights but it could work out for you.

Forgot to mention; in order to afford all the stuff I mention I recommend you drop the Crown of Command off the Lord.

TBH I haven't had my knights flee from combat very often. Usually they win combat one way or another they just end up getting killed through swings in h2h. The narrow frontage and +2 armor save makes the unit fairly survivable on its own.

k, sounds like good advice, but in the standard of discipline entry it says that it cannon use the generals inspiring prescense rule

FAQ clarified that it can increase the generals which they can pass around if he is in the unit. Last page of the wfb faq v1.5
