Hi guys,

I've never build a Chaos Daemons list before, so i hope i haven't done anything stupid...

HQ
Bloodthirster (250) – Unholy Might (20) – 270

Troops
7x Pink Horrors of Tzeentch (119) – Bolt of Tzeentch (10) – 129
5x Plague Bearers of Nurgle – 75
10x Bloodletters of Khorne – 160
10x Bloodletters of Khorne – 160

Elites
3x Flamers of Tzeentch – 105

Heavy Support
Daemon Prince (80) – Iron Hide (30), Unholy Might (20), Mark of Tzeentch (25), Bolt of Tzeentch (35) – 190
Daemon Prince (80) – Iron Hide (30), Unholy Might (20), Mark of Tzeentch (25), Bolt of Tzeentch (35) – 190
Daemon Prince (80) – Iron Hide (30), Unholy Might (20), Mark of Tzeentch (25), Bolt of Tzeentch (35) – 190

total is 1499 (IIRC)

Now, the first wave will be 3 Daemon Princes, Plague Bearers (on objectives) and the Bloodthirster

General idea, the 3 Daemon princes will use bolt of tzeentch to destroy as much 'threatening' vehicles right at the beggining of the game. After that, the MCs will charge what ever vehicles are left, destroying them, leaving soft tastey infantry to the Bloodletters.

C&C is welcome

I would remove the individual point costs. Usually you do not run Iron Hide on units with MoT (or Unholy Might since the prince is a shooting platform).

Since you are going to a prince heavy list just make those swaps saving yourself 90.- 150 points depending on if you add Gaze to the princes. If you do not you can throw in another 3x Flamers or maybe a trio of Crushers.

I agree that you should remove Iron Hide and Unholy Might.
Then get an extra shooting attack, Gaze or Breath for example since MC's can fire 2 weapons in the same shooting phase.

Might also add that sadly the bloodletters isent really a good option since their 5++ and level of threat means that they die way to often before they do any good (easy to spam down with lasguns for example)
Thou if you get them into CC (and even better if you get the charge) they will kill just about anything, (be careful against units with I6).
Either way trial and error works best and Daemon is a fun but random army so go with what you think will work for you and in time you will learn and adapt

1497 is the new total.

Did a little play around with the Princes. I think they lost a bit of survivability without the 3+ armour save. But, their shooting is ALOT better. Can crack transports, followed by template on what ever is inside. And they got no Armour / Cover save... AWESOME!

Introduced some Screamers into the list. 48 points for a 'jetbike' unit. So i can DS a fair bit away from the enemy and blast into them with a decent move. They have Melta-bomb attacks in CC. So again, cracking up heavy vehicles.

Removed a few Bloodletters as you suggested. 20 dedicated CC units with 5++ save, i'm looking at alot of deaths there.

Added some bloodcrushers. Their stat line is awesome! WS5, S5, T5, Furious Charge, Power Weapons. Pure Awesome

Also a few feinds. Not completely sold on them yet. WS4, S5 (6 with Unholy Might - gave them that for more killy power), rending, grenades, A5(?!?! AWESOME). They are relatively cheap, so why not?

Thanks again for the feedback. Is the newer list looking better?

Fiends do not have Grenades but thye do have Hit and Run. Also, you really need to run 6x of them for them to be effective.

They are not as killy as BC, but they are Beasts so have a 12" charge and Fleet which is huge. They also open up transports well. Against MEQ 6 Fiends....

36 atttacks, 18 hits, 3 Rends, 9 wounds -->6 dead marines. With a little luck you can take down a complete squad and they really destroy T3 enemies.
