Subject: Scratch built Deff Dread (rivits finished)
This is the last thing on my short list of Ork models I wanted to build. Started this the other day and this is what I have so far. I still have a few details to add on the upper legs and feet, then I will start on the upper body, and cutting more rivits.
Here is the video of him all done.

Excellant work. Its going to look unique which of course DDreads should.
As for the feet I think adding sharp metal claws would look mean especially a thumb one. It would look grippy and stompy.
Keep it up.
Life is a journey, shame about the destination.....
Thanks. Here is the plan for the feet. Each one will have some spikes coming out the front for kicking and then on the sides will be some claws for cutting. The idea is from Robocop 2, he had these big claws on the feet. I got a little bit of work done last night, but not enough for a picture.
Impressive build quality. Looking forward to the next update!

It is hard to see from this angle, but the outer claw is gripping the edge of the base, the back claw will be gripping another piece of cork that I did not add so I could work on the model easier. I did not want all the claws clamped down so you could see that they all move independently form each other.
quick update. close up of the face and torso and an overall shot. still lots of details and layers to add. next I need to get the arms started so I can work out the pose and get it set so I can start glueing the pieces together.
wierd, my cell double posted my message. anyway, thanks everyone. right now I am building the two upper arms, then I will start on the two smaller lower arms. right now I am thinking of going with 3 ccw's and a skorcha, but I may make it so I can swap out the lower arms with the other weapon options.
I was working on the model tonight while my wife was cleaning out some of her art supplies. I saw her throw something into a box that I just had to use. This is most likely the single greatest modeling supply I will ever use. I added it to the model and I was just shocked at how awesome, creepy and scary it made the model that I have a hard time looking at it. I am not sure if I will be able to finish it. I need to do this to all my models.
WOW, you are a wiz with the plasticard. That is shaping up nicely and makes me question why you doing only a short list? Looks like you could construct a pretty good looking mech army! Can't wait to see it all together and painted.
