Some of you may remember the thread where i worked out my Nomad list for later this year. In fact, some of you very graciously helped me write it! Well it's not quite time to buy the models(Don't get excited yet Shae!) but i like to be prepared so i've been looking at my options for miniatures today. So i'm back with another thread and looking for inspiration in making my choices. I don't hide away from conversions so if you have a pretty 'out there' idea don't be shy! I'm also considering an all female force so that's something to think about i guess.

I'm updating this as a record of my final choices to use as a reference. The unit will now be entirely female and use a generic Nomad list or a Bakunin Sectorial list. I can choose between the two by taking either the Szally and 2 Zondbots or the Lizard.

Here is the list and the models that i'm planning on purchasing:

REVEREND CUSTODIER Hacker Combi Rifle + Marker / Pistol, Knife (38 | 0.5)


ZERO Hacker Combi Rifle, Antipersonnel Mines / Pistol, Knife (30 | 0.5)
A little bit of conversion to set the model apart from it's usual purpose and this Spektr Hacker will serve me as a Zero Hacker instead.


VERTIGO ZOND Guided Missile Launcher / Electric Pulse (34 | 1)


SALYUT Electric Pulse (13 | 0.5)


SIN-EATER MULTI Sniper Rifle / Pistol, CCW (39 | 1.5)
Some small conversions and the Riot Grrl will make a great female Sin-Eater.


3x MODERATOR Combi Rifle / Pistol, Electric Pulse (9)
I'm going to use the two female Moderators and the Chimera which has a surprising amount of similarities to them.


LIZARD MULTI HMG, Heavy Grenade Launcher / (96 | 2)
The plan is to heavily convert this model as i'm not a fan. I'll cut it up into little bits and fully rebuild and re-sculpt it in full action pose, fingers crossed.


SZALAMANDRA Hyper-rapid Magnetic Cannon, Heavy Flamethrower / (90 | 2)
Started work on this but it's still got a road to go.


LIZARD PILOT Pistol, Knife

Carlota Kowalsky has a brilliant vibe about her that will really work as a pilot. The helmet in her hand helps to sell the story.


CLOCKMAKER Combi Rifle, D-Charges / Pistol, Knife (18)
I'll be using the female Zero as the basis of the model but i'll replace the e/mauler arm with Zoe's bionic arm and the bag she's holding. The high tech looking model, bionic and the rucksack should give a good engineer vibe.


3x ZONDBOT Electric Pulse (3)
I'll only use one Engineer Zondbot, with some conversions, but the other two places will be filled by Pi-Well and Moriarty, also with conversions.

So what do you think?

I don't even think the cheesecake is overtly cheesecake. They're made to look cute, sure, but not making them overtly sexual (except for that pilot), so I guess YOU SHOULD EMBRACE IT!

And what kind of proxy do you have in mind for the Zondbots?

Thanks for the reply. Embrace it i shall! As you say it's not overly sexual it's just stylized to the anime genre. Plus, particularly for Nomads, they can look however they want for a price.

A proxy for the Zondbots is difficult because there isn't much i like that could be proxied for them. Maybe the best thing to do would be to get the hobby knife and greenstuff out and tweak them to taste.

Edit: Looking over them all again, i'd be happy if i can just change the Clockmaker and the Pilot. The Chimera for the pilot would be sweet but i'm not sure what would be good for the clockmaker.

For a clockmaker how about engineer but from another faction?
I think both Pano and Yu-Jing engs look very nomady.

Nice options man! Particularly, the female would work really well with Nomads, in fact a lot of the YuJing range fits in quite nicely. The funny thing is, the more i look at the clockmaker the more i like it. Go figure!

So if i keep him all i really need to do is take a Chimera instead of the pilot which is nice because it's only one change. Time to find out if Shae can do something with this order later in the year!

For the Zondbots If you like the ones from other forces you could go with them. It's not like they are different rule wise and no one will notice I think.

I'm not sure i've seen any that i like to be honest. The Nomads are the ones i dislike the least i think. It'll probably be fine once i get them painted up.

You really need to get working on this buddy. No more Necromunda! It will be a great looking army.

Aw thanks, man! Well Shae said it'll all arrive next week and i'll be straight into the box to start the conversions so expect a blog to pop up soon! I think i'll have finished with the Necromunda gang, until paint time, then too so it'll have most of my attention!

Well everything is sorted out, each model in it's own little baggy. Only one component short. Working on the Infinimunda gang right now, not much left to do. So expect a blog soon i guess!
