Alright fellas?

I posted a little about myself in the introductions forum, so if you're interested (and I won't be offended if you're not ) check it out in the link below, and I'll cut straight to the chase!
http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/464771.page

I've begun collecting an ork army, and started painting a little while before I discovered this forum, so I've made a little bit of progress despite the poor quality of my work so far! Because I haven't really played since second ed I'm a bit of a sucker for 2nd era models, so I've got a big heap of nostalgia fuelled ebay purchases. Basically, all the models I've bought have been from ebay, and they include a wide range from the ones I love (SB boarboyz and Space-Nazi Stormboyz) to the ones I can afford (AoBR boyz!). I'm quite aware that half of the things I've got so far probably don't even exist in a modern army list, so if you have any suggestions on how best to tailor it a little more towards modern play, I'd be grateful

I'm really not the best painter, but if I can channel my unsustainable enthusiasm for buying stuff on ebay into painting, I really hope I can improve!
I'm starting an army blog on here in the hope that the inevitable ridicule my second rate efforts so far attract will spur me on to better things!

Despite picking orks, I still like the army to look coherent, and whilst I do want indivuduals and squads to have character and be distinguishable, I want the army in general to look like it belongs together - this reason, coupled with my sub-par painting ability and poor aesthetic taste have driven me towards a very simple paint scheme - everyone wears blazing orange! (Well I like it anyway )

So, here's a little chronicle of what I've managed up until now (before I registered on this forum), and what I'm planning next:

Heaps of plastic and metal in the post!:
Spoiler:

Anyone any idea where this little boar comes from?

Here's the first mob I got round to painting, you might recognise them as a horrific mish-mash of Mantic and GW miniatures!
Spoiler:

Next was one of my Dreadnoughts, although I understand they're called Deff-dread's or summit these days?
Spoiler:

Here he is with the boyz:

Next I painted my AoBR Warboss:
Spoiler:

Here's da boss wiv his tiny warband:

Next I painted a Gorkamorka Trukk and my heinously rudimentary approach at a skorcha conversion:
Spoiler:

Everything so far:

Next I painted some nobz and a big chap holidng some kind of missile launcher (who I'd been using as a counts-as 2nd ed mek with a Kustom Blasta)
Spoiler:

Here they are 'angin' out wiv da boss'

And finally, I've painted a mob of 2nd ed boxed set, statue grotz:
Spoiler:

Next I've just started painting my big mob of 20 Snakebite Boarboyz although I intend to paint in smaller batches, maybe 5 at a time.
To illustrate what kind of a novice I am, I've only just realised that thinning down the paint makes it a lot easier! Duh!

Constructive criticism most welcome, non-constructive criticism grudgingly accepted
Cheers all!

And after looking back over that post, I think it's glaringly obvious what the next thing I should buy is...
A new camera!!
