Hello, I'm currently tinkering around with improving the Ork Dread Bash for 6th.

The Ork side:

HQs:
2 Big Meks with Kustom Force Fields, 'Eavy Armor, Cybork Bodies

Troops:
2 Deff Dreads - Dual Skorchas and Grot Riggers
30 Boyz - Shootas, 3 Big Shootas

Heavy Support:
3 Deff Dreads - Dual Skkorchas and Grot Riggers

The Necron Side:

HQ:
Destroyer Lord - Mindshackle Scarabs

Troop:
Warriors X5 (Cheap Backfield scoring that fulfills the mandatory troop slot)
Night Scythe

Fast Attack:
Wraiths X6 - 2 Whip Coils (These guys, as well as the DL can tie up enemy units and absorb shots until the dreads arrive).

Thoughts?

Why the Crons? Why not 2 more Big Meks and 5 more Dredds?

Give the Meks some SAGs, and the Dredds some Kustom Mega Blastas or Rokkits, and you have anti-armour.

GENERATION 8: The first time you see this, copy and paste it into your sig and add 1 to the number after generation. Consider it a social experiment.

If yer an Ork, why dont ya WAAAGH!!

Elites:
5x Lootas: 75 pts
5x Lootas: 75 pts

5x Lootas: 75 pts

Troops:
Deff Dread w/ Skorcha & CCW = 95 pts
Deff Dread w/ Skorcha & CCW = 95 pts
Deff Dread w/ Skorcha & CCW = 95 pts
Deff Dread w/ Skorcha & CCW = 95 pts

Fast Attack:
Dakka Jet w/ SS = 125 pts
Dakka Jet w/ SS = 125 pts
Deffkopta w/ TL Rokkits = 45
Deffkopta w/ TL Rokkits = 45
Deffkopta w/ TL Rokkits = 45

Heavy:
3x Killa Kans w/ Grotzookas = 130
3x Killa Kans w/ Grotzookas = 130
3x Killa Kans w/ Grotzookas = 130
3x Killa Kans w/ Grotzookas = 130
3x Killa Kans w/ Grotzookas = 130
3x Killa Kans w/ Grotzookas = 130

Comes around 1985 pts; which means you have 15 to spend. Probably would want more anti armour though; as the Kans will destroy any infantry.

1500 points.

No double FOC at that level and I never play higher.

No troops to take objectives .... that's a main drawback.

He's talking about my list. I know that, mainly just wanted to show how a dread bash list should look. It's not optimal; I might redo the list and post it up later. Wouldn't be hard, though; just take out a dakkajet and get three grot squads.

Hmm...

Here's an idea. Only run 1 KFF Mek. And don't give the other one a Shokk Attakk Gunnn. Give 'im a Burna or a fancy shoota (or something) and plop him in a little mob of Gretchin as ablative wounds... wait. That doesn't work anymore, does it?

Well, howsabout this: Mega Armour on the Footslogger (plus a Burna, or a second Power Klaw!). Have him waddling around right behind some Kanz or a Dredd, letting him repair the things. If you work Combats right, he'd even be able to repair while the things were fighting, without being engaged himself.

GENERATION 8: The first time you see this, copy and paste it into your sig and add 1 to the number after generation. Consider it a social experiment.

I may do that, though I may also drop the Trukks, and take 2 Big mobs (probably 30 strong) of shoota boyz and use them as shielding.
