You can now play the game in hotseat multiplayer -- so you can try those Small Behemoths for yourself!

The larger scenario offers a lot more units to play with and requires you to use a lot more of the map -- manoeuvre warfare!

Also, there’s now a FREE DEMO that runs in web browsers -- you can SHOW your friends how awesomely EW:FE is coming along!

Do you recommend a particular browser for the demo?

I like Chrome, but the Unity Webplayer plugin should work on the majority of available browsers.

"unsupported browser" for Internet Explorer; not curious enough to bother searching for what to download to make it work or download another browser. Guess my money goes elsewhere.

UPDATE: Can't replicate your issue, I'm afraid. Works fine for me on IE9. Are you running an older version?

Thanks for looking into it. Yes, I'm using IE9 64bit; it could possibly be my security settings or possibly I don't have the proper plug-in... I'll dl the unity player you mentioned earlier and try again.

Edit: Dled the webplayer and still having the same issue; probably something on my end then.

Sorry to hear it's still not working for you. The only thing I could recommend at this stage would be to reduce your security settings or disable your anti-virus software, but I'm loathe to suggest that.

If your interest is sufficient, maybe check out the gameplay video on the FAQ page -- while it is a bit outdated now (it was recorded during Pre-Alpha), the core gameplay has not changed significantly since it was recorded, so it will give you a good idea of how the game plays and only takes a few minutes.

I will give it a go in Chrome not sure how well my netbook will be able to handle even a demo, though!

Agnosto - try opening it in the 32-bit version which should also be present on your PC.
64 bit browser support can be iffy (and to be fair - not much reason to go 64bit for a browser yet anyway, IMO).

If you have a lower-spec laptop, RiTides, I'd be interested to know how well the Demo runs for you (or how it doesn't run, as the case may be).
