Hey guys so a few weeks back a few dakka goers got together and set up a tale of four gamers thingy http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/0/557973.page and i was one of the group
Now, the post got very crowded and was hard to keep track of as there were more than four of us working within it So we decided to split it into groups and catagories depending on what we were working on.
We are also not taking anymore members for the project so that it wont get out of hand again and over crowded again, but feel free to sit back and watch / post your comments and thoughts on our projects

And if you cant guess by the title our group is doing Warhammer 40k armies for our projects, each of us will set down a monthly goal to try and achieve said goal by the end of each month so as to motivate us to get working on our armies.

So ill start with my own army and goal.

I will be working on my Horus Heresy / Great Crusade Era EMPEROR'S CHILDREN legion which is using the Army list from the Forgeworld HH books.

My Monthly goals:
November 2013: Paint my 2 dreadnoughts and start painting my Caestus Assault Ram, aswell as put in my next order to ForgeWorld which will be 5 more Cataphract Terminators + the Massecare book.

Here is my Army list:
Green = i own and have painted this
Red = i own it but it is unpainted

So as Warp Angels has said i am painting up a Farsight Enclave Tau army and my goal for november will be to finsh Farsight the 6 Crisis Suits and 2 Broadside battlesuit

Hey guys, going to introduce myself a little bit. Been playing 40k since I was 13 so roughly 10 years now on and off. Collected most things but my painting has always been shoddy up until last year when I discovered washes haha! I will be making a sisters of battle army to tournament with next year. I will also be making a tau army to tourney with aswell for doubles, this will be a side project so my sisters will take precedent. My goal for November is to complete 2 x 5 man sister squads and their immolator transports. Also a tau riptide.

Hi Folks. The Ghost Tigers are a rebel guard army. Veterans from conflicts out in the Eastern Fringes to discover that, following a massve outbreak of Chaos, Exterminatus was performed on their home planet. Every man, woman and child still based there was dead. They burnt the aguillas of their armour, weapons and vehicles, vowing to resist the Empire as much as the forces of Chaos and hoping to find a fresh start for humanity. They see some hope in an alliance with the forces of Tau, having fought Chaos in an uneasy alliance with Commander Trueblade a couple of years ago.

I grew up on Star Wars.


So a bit of a lame start. I have painted and based my first troop and have been beavering away building heavy weapons etc... HOWEVER

I haven't received a bunch of the heads yet, so I can't properly complete any units of troops as the idea is to mix heads across units (trying for a full army of totally unique models).

AND I have my first tournament coming up for my first army, which is NECRONS. And I don't have the last pieces built and painted for that - 3 Night scythes.

I am going to have to concentrate a fair bit of November to my Necrons for this reason, but I shall still aim to get my first tank done. I have both a Lemann Russ and a Chimera, so November's modest goal will be to get one of them built, magnetised and based this month.

Hey Guys! I go by Azalle and as Warp Angel Said I'm building Space Marines! More specifically, I'm builing Angels of Vengeance - Dark Angels Successor Chapter. The Goal here is to get a full company built and painted to table top standard. I have my own P-Log which is in my sig block, but was lacking in motivation so I joined the orignal group and am pumped to be here with these 4 other fine gamers.

My Pledge for October was 1 tactical Squad and a 5 man dev squad. Warp put up the lascannoners and below you'll see my first 3 tactical squads! I have bot dev sgts built and painted and still need to finish the second 4 lascannoners for the second dev squad. So I feel accomplished to say the least!

The Pledge for November:

Add the 5 marines to both devastator squads (10 total)

paint my ravenwing squadron - 6 bikes, attack bike, landspeeder

Finish my two Dreads

Keep in mind the goal for now is to get to table top quality and then start going back and adding more details! - General Concensus is that they need more 'pop' so I plan on going back after this pledge and adding OSL to the eyes and special weapons. As always C& C are welcome!

SpankingApe Great work on your sister Brother!. I'd say go with either a light pale green or a light pale blue for your weapons casings. IMO they would go really well together!

Your marines look good Azalle black armour is quite hard to paint but i agree that they need abit of a 'pop'

Also new models came today bringing my total model count up to 8. Flamer, melta and heavy bolter from eBay. Have another 10 sisters due from eBay Middle of next week! Just to need buy the immos when I get paid.

Also, quick question, I'll be putting Condemnor boltguns in my basic sister squads so I was wondering which crossbow bits you guys think would be best for making the condemnor combi weapons?

Mostly the Necrons have taken over around these parts. Which will have a long term positive impact on the Ghost Tigers. (I'm going to learn to airbrush!) But I have managed to get this guy off the tester stage and pretty much there now.

My faces are going to get better. Promise. And the melted Aguillas will get better too. But I'm letting this guy through. First member of the actual army proper. Private Tosh.

I finished my first dreadnought just now, here it is



and before anyone says anything, yes i realise the base is not painted, but im waiting to do the bases of my minis until i figure out how im going to do them, so expect alot of black bases for now

I like the green dials and bulbs, really stands out. Looking good dude.

Models are looking good guys since everyones getting on with there i havent got much to report on mine but i am swapping out one of the broadsides for this months challenge and putting this in instead

Wow warp that army list is surely impressive and slightly daunting to say the least! That will keep you busy for quite some time

I've gone back over the 1st two squads of my tactical marines and have tried my hand at OSL with my red lenses. I also went and painted plasma coils on the guns and cannons. Not very happy with how the coils turned out but I can go back over them once I have enough finished.

Was dead tired last night when I finished so sadly... no pictures, but I plan on taking some when I get home and adding them to the list. Tonight I hope to get the third squads lenses dones as well as the two five man contingents of the devatators then finish the 4th squad which has been patiently been awaiting paint.

I also managed to get a solid start on my first of three company dreads. Again, all of these will get pictures tonight. I'm looking forward to see everyone else's progress as well!

Hi guys, I must apologise for not updating recently. My girlfriend fell down our stairs at weekend so I've been spending my nights with her at the hospital. Hopefully she will be out soon so I can get back to painting. I asked the hospital staff if I could do my painting in the ward but I was politely refused lol. Fingers crossed I'll be back on the band wagon soon!

Pyro Pete can I just say I love your method of highlighting. It looks phenomenal!

yea i know i left out all the upgrades but i think you guys get the gist of it haha

I got a box of sanguinary guard a few days ago and am using it to make my Moritat and Assault / Destroyer sergeants and possibly other sergeants that are equipped with artificer armour (which is all of them)
ill get a pic up of those 2 hopefully tomorrow, but i cant finish the models properely until i put in my next order to FW sadly but the good news to that is that it should be next week i just had to put it off a little so i could save up a bit because the Xbox One comes out on friday so i dont want to be completely broke this week

In related news though, i had a 30k game today and my Moritat killed 10 Death Guard breacher squad marines in 1 shooting phase !!!!!
