This is a WIP. I should be done soon.

The picture was take from my phone so it is not the greatest.

Hope you like it.

I will be doing my whole army like this.

I still have to do the Gens, a little gold and silvers and an oil wash for some extra shading and depth

You are definitely going to have that issue where you've done one thing on the model so brilliantly and awesomely that people don't even notice how well and hard you worked making the rest look fantastic.

Dat faceplate. Just no words. Brain went dumb from awe.

Awesome color scheme and great face plate. The rest of your army will look awesome painted this way, I'd love to see the whole thing when you're done!

The faceplate really is brilliant. Even if you don't use the lightning effect, carrying the blue through on another part of the model (however small) would really help balance the scheme.

Kabal of the Slit Throat ~2000pts
Elect of the Plaguefather 4500pts

Eohall. The gems will be a very similar colour to the lightning to balance flow of the model out. If after I do this the knight looks like he need some more I will add a little lightning to the chest. :-).

I will have more pics up this week.

Thanks guys

Finished the Wraithknight.

I think that I should have done fewer gems. I had a hard time doing osl purple. just couldn't get the right colours. dang. besides that I am happy with my knight.

The only thing I find not to like is that gems are of two different colors. Your osl in the back looks excelent and the whole model looks bang on

Got milk?

All I can say about painting is that VMC tastes much better than VMA... especially black...

PM me if you are interested in Commission work.

I agree with you on the gems. thanks for the feedback.
I wanted to try purple as well. my next wraith knight and all my other elder will have one colour of gem. and it will be the bluish one. and I will have fewer gems as well.

I should have at least 2 wave serpents and a hornet done within the next month or so. I will probably post them sometime in February or march.

I actually like the different colored gems. I feel as though they match the storm on the faceplate brilliantly and the purple gems keep some of the other purple areas on the model from looking out of place.

I like the two colors of gems! It breaks up the monotony without becoming too distracting.

Great model! Love the crotch-shield.

I think the painting is stupendous, really! The gems look great, really breaks up the model! (and the technique wonderful too) The OSl looks pretty spot on, the only criticism I have of the model as a whole is the pose, it seems a little stiff and stands out a bit against the awesome paint job.

I really, really want to try painting one myself and seeing such awesome results only serves to scratch that itch further, nicely done!

Scrub.

everything on the model is magnetized so I can position hime however I like :-) his arms, head and torso all come off. I have magnetized all the weapon options. but they are not painted yes. I will show them when they are done.

right now I am working on 2 wave serpents and 1 hornet

Thinking of repainting the gun barrels black and adding some sweet OSL to them.
