I wanted to play a higher point game with my sisters, and to take care of the anti-air problem I decided to attach some Crimson Hunters. I haven't played a high point or competitive game with sisters in a long time, so looking for some input.

Heavy
Retributor w/Heavy Bolters x4+ Simulacrum: 110

Detachment:
Eldar Crimson Death: 440

Total: 1850

Exorcists:
So, probably most noticeable is the lack of exorcists. They are kinda cheap, so it's possible to drop points in BSS for Exorcists. However, the crimson hunters have 4 shots at S8 each (which is slightly more than average D6 shots from Exorcists). So not only do they serve as anti air, they are my replacement for long ranger S8.

Retributors:
Should maybe be replaced by an exorcist. They have higher volume of fire and can get probably get rending in two turns. I also think they look really cool (though not as cool as the MM or HF models).

Seraphim:
The popular choice is to go with all Dominions. I freely admit that this choice is only because I really really love these models (I put sanguinary guard jetpacks on them, looks so nice). The reason I run with 10 is because they will either spend a turn running across the table trying to get within 12" range of something, or they will deep strike and stand in a 0" tight formation making them prime targets for opponent blast units. So I need some extra models that are there to die. Celestine will be deepstriking or running with the unit in front, taking the brunt of the damage and if she dies and resurrects, then I will use the rest of the unit as human shield and hopefully make it into assault in the next round.

BSS:
Very unsure of loadout on these. I am thinking heavy flamer to help deal with hordes, but since you can't drive 12" and flame anymore this has made them tough to get in range for the Flamer and still be able to fire it. A unit with melta, melta, combi-melta/plasma, and immolater with melta is devestating against other tanks, but I worry about the 12" range on the unit and the lack of firepower vs. hordes. That said, the Serpahim/Celestine unit is crazy good against hordes if it doesn't mishap or get focus fired down. So right now I have set the BSS up to be more versatile with a HF, Combi-P and melta, but I am undecided on the tank gun.

If you're going to take hb rets, get a bastion. Otherwise get an exorcist.

Does your area allow forge world? Repressors are gold for sob and better than immos in almost every way.

I'm not sure about the eldar detachment. I guess it's anti-air but I'm not really feeling it.

Thanks for the response!

I have some repressors lying around. Costs 15 points extra for a stormbolter and 2 firing points. Assuming I have the newest edition of the rules.

What sisters do you throw in them? Multimelta, melta and combi-plasma/melta?

I have a bastion as well, which I used to run with Coteaz and some henchmen. With a bastion, do you take a bare sister squad inside to run the attached heavy bolters, and keep the retributors on top with the superior running the quadgun?

I feel the Crimson Hunter detachment is strong, but that 3 crimson hunters is overkill. Still, they cost 15 points more than an exorcist, you get on average more shots, less luck dependent, shots are S8 but 2 of them are lance (but AP1), flyers with vector dancer, 4+ cover save and 4+ rerollable cover save on jink, has skyfire, reroll to hit and wound against flyers and flyrants, and the exarch has BS5 and makes precision shots on a 5+.

The disadvantages are AV10 front and on average only 2 of 3 planes will make it in on turn 2, and might not even make it in turn 3 or 4.

Also the Hunters don't fit thematically that well, but that's the price of playing a faction which hasn't gotten new models in 15 years? =/

Repressor has sb:HF and 2 normal fire points. It also has four or six extra ones that point a variety of directions and av13 front.

Dominions in a repressor are great. Heck, anyone in a repressor is great.

Rets can run te hb and the quad gun from inside nowadays. Take 7 and you can throw 6 hb and the quad with rending.

I run dom with 4 melta or bss with double melta in a repressor.

I have 2 sets of rules for the repressor. I have an imperial armor 2 update that says it costs 50 points, AV11 front and that it has 6 fire points. Then I have a Repressor FAQ version 1P that says it is 75 points, AV13, but it is lacking the special fire points rule and it says it only 2 has fire points.

I am having some issues finding the rules for the bastion in 7th. Can all the 4 sisters with HB shoot out the same window? Is the point cost the same as 6th edition? Quad gun with rending sounds like a lot of fun if I get to man it from inside.

Made a new list based upon your sugestions:

CAD:

Troops
BSS /w Repressor + Melta + Melta: 155

Dominions w/Immolator + Melta x4 + Combi-Melta: 175

Heavy

Fortification:
Bastion w/Quad Gun: 110

Detachment:
Eldar Crimson Death: 440

Total: 1850

I am unsure about the bastion. The whole unit costs 244 total now, and I could get 2 exorcists or BSS at that price. I also don't need the anti-air from the bastion. On the flip side, 4 S7 shots with rending, and 18 S5 shots with rending sounds like a lot of fun.

Bastion is 2 models per fire point (so 4 per side) and the heavy bolters and the quad.

Give the Dominions the Repressor. They need it more so they don't have to get out to do their job.

The newest version of the Repressor is 75 for AV13 and 6 FP.

I would drop the PP and Power Sword on the Seraphim, it's just a waste of points.

Can all models fire out of the Repressor's fire points, or is there a limit on heavy weapons or special weapons that can be fired? If I can fire 5 melta out the side of the repressor that would be amazing.

If I drop PP and Power Sword, should I spend the 30 points on Combi upgrades for BSS superiors?

You can fire all weapons out of the fire points now.

Either Combi Upgrades or Repressors.

Just checked. Two normal FP and three on each side.

Alright, I think I got the help I needed. Have a couple of variant lists now and I need to try them out to see how they are.

Thank you for some very good help.

The list I will be trying out first:

CAD:
HQ
Celestine 135

Troops
BSS /w Repressor + 2x Melta + Combi-P: 165

BSS /w Repressor + 2x Melta + Combi-P: 165

Fast
Seraphim w/2x Hand Flamers + Superior + x3 Extra + MeltaB 155

Dominions w/Repressor + Melta x4 + Combi-Melta: 190

Dominions w/Repressor+ Melta x4 + Combi-Melta: 190

Heavy
Retributor w/Heavy Bolters x4 +2x Extra +Simulacrum: 134

Fortification:
Bastion w/Quad Gun: 110

Detachment:
Eldar Crimson Death: 440

Total: 1849

Future lists will probably be exchanging the bastion for Exorcists and/or BSS. I really liked the Bastion with Retributors idea, so I want to test it.
