I like the look and feel of the Imperial Guard and I think they will help my Sisters of Battle army with some big guns. After a lot of playing around with options with what miniatures I have I have come up with two list:
#1
One of the Battle Sisters Squads will ride in the Vendetta, and the Veteran Squad is going to camp on an backfield objective. As of now, don't have a Chimera as of now for them. I will get a couple of them eventually, but the guard I have recently acquired have drained my miniature budget for a while.
#2
Less Melta but more Objective Secured and an additional Immolator. Also the Vendetta is empty and can concentrate on shooting things.
Any Suggestions?
Additional Minis I have at my disposal:

I'd say find the points to upgrade the Vanquisher to Pask, that way you can reroll gets hot on the executioner and sponsons and the Vanquisher becomes twin linked and reroll pen.

Good idea, but I thought the reroll only if Pask is the warlord and the Guard is an Allied Detachment in this list. Am I missing something?
I tried out list #2 tonight. The opponent had two of the big bloodthursters with the Strength D axe, three Imperial Knights with the fist and the sword, and two squads of cultist. The mission was a kill points mission. I brought 16 kill points to the table, he brought 7, so things were stacked heavy in his favor. Kill points wise he won hands down, but I made him pay for it. At the end of the game he had one half strength squad of cultist and I had my Vendetta, Basilisk, Exorcist, Emmolator and two sisters squads left. If the cultist had failed a moral check and ran off the table I would have won by tabling him. All and all a close and exciting game.

Oh god yeah, in that case don't bother with Pask, just stick with the TC.
I'm also happy to hear that List 2 did well. I've been considering getting some sisters for me guard as a sort of Sternguard unit.

Ya, and the best units is the Fast Attack squad the Dominion Squad. Scout and the ability to purchase up to 4 special weapons, Meltaguns are the favorite.
I am considering a compromise list between the two. It is basically list #2 but forgoing the plasma guns in the vet squad and reducing the Seraphim from seven to six with a set of hand flamers in it and using the points to upgrade two of the troop squads to Dominion Squads. -1 body, -3 plasma guns, -4 objective secured, +6 melta guns +1 pair of hand flamers+two squads with scout. The only real problem with this list is that I don't like the idea of 'tax' units. I want everything to do work and a naked Vet Squad just is not going to do much. But are they going to do much with three plasma guns?

Maybe take the Lascannon off the executiner and give the vets an autocannon so they can at least do something.

I did a little figuring and I think I have a new favorite list. I think there is no 'tax' units in it and I get to work with one of the things I like best about the Guard, the orders! Interesting note, this army is exactly 1/2 of each detachment point wise.
