Subject: [1850] - Iron Hands: Clan Raukaan & Blood Angels
I have reworked my list from last post after discussing the use of a Captain with JP and their load out. I decided to ally in some Blood Angels to provide my Iron Hands with a better FNP in the Assault Squad. I went for two scout squads for troops because they have Furious Charge and were cheaper. The assault squad will have a 4+ FNP, rerolls with hated/Doctrine, with Furious Charge and the Captain will have a 2+/3++/3+ FNPEW & IWND. I know my main weakness are flyers but I, for the most part, ignore them. The only issue I have is still no load out for the Captain and 80pts to spare. I'm looking for any advice on improving the list. Thanks!
Power fist and Lighning claw is your loadout.
Here goes your +1attack for specialist weapons and a variable between hitting on Initiative and 8/2.
Dropping Grav Cents is a good idea. I'm glad you've found a suitable way to do it.
But your Regular Devs are almost naked. Take them their free Razorback and get some useful weapons like LasCannons.
And Flesh Tearers Strike Force (campaign book leviathan of memory serves me well) would be better for your BA needs. It's an alternative FOC with 1Mandatory HQ, 1 mandatory Troops and 1 FA, meaning you'll save yourself a squad of scouts.
Edit : misread your list. You have an allied detach already. That's OK. Scouts will free you some points for Dozer blades for example. Or a Land a speeder Storm.

I wish I could field the Flesh Tearers Detachment but I don't have the book and I see it costs $45 and I'm not willing to pay that much :/ Do you think this will hold up as a TAC list or is it to broad of a list and not focused enough?

I believe I have now come up with the final list before I start play testing for the local campaign. What are your thoughts and are there any other gaping weaknesses that I'm not seeing? Thanks for the help.
I get what you are saying but I'm ultimately not going for super competitive and more of a rule of cool. I really wanted to play the Assault Centurions and you helped find a way to bring them in with that supplement I was unaware of. I have terrible luck with Combi-meltas and needed to find the points somewhere. I actually have ran out of transports and plan on getting a couple more in the future.

After verifying with the campaign organizer I had received the wrong information for points and now I have 150pts to play with on the current list. I have already toyed with the idea of playing Stormwing and found I would compromise the idea of the original list just to squeeze it in. Do you have any ideas with what to expand upon with the current units or what to add to give it that extra edge? My main point I keep coming back to is to add another Sang Priest to the DP of Assault Centurions which would give them 2+ & 4+ FNP on a T5 unit...seems pretty scary to me! Thanks!
