Kill team has been released today, and people are putting together forces.

With small forces, players can put more effort into each model, and busy people can actually finish a force. Every model can be a character. People who were thinking of dipping their toes into 40k or a new force have a format where they can play with just one box of models.

So I thought I'd start a painting and chat thread for people creating new Kill Teams to post their ideas, conversions and progress in, and to share tips and support each other in getting their stuff painted.

So start a log saying what you'll be doing and start posting progress. When people finish Kill Teams I'll list and link them from the OP.

Lets see lots of pictures guys.

Completed Kill Team Links:

'Blank space for later'

What this thread is for:

Posting conversions.
Posting WIPs and painted teams.
Posting Kill Team terrain.
Sharing painting tips and techniques.
Discussing different ways of playing Kill Team (with the different ways to play in the Kill Team book as a starting point).
Chatting about the above. Criticism should always be constructive, particularly for new painters.

What this thread isn't for:

Squabbling about capping Kill Team sizes.
Talking about AoS.
Complaining about pricing.

Kill Team: Carcharodons

The Carcharodons fought in the Badab War, and are vicious by the standards of Space Marines.

http://wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Carcharodons

List:

10 marines - Vet sergeant with lightning claw, missile launcher, melta gun, additional close combat weapon and Carcharodon chapter tactics. This makes it 200 points on the dot.

Models are a combination of the Mk IV and Tactical squad kits, with a couple of pieces from the Devastator kit.

As the Carcharodons were exiled from the Imperium during the Great Crusade, I've avoided Aquilas in the models, as unless they are wearing plate acquired since the Heresy then Aquilas were rarely seen on armour in any legion except the Emperors Children. I might use the lightning symbol of unity on a couple of models to represent the era they split off from the Imperium and became the Exiled.

Some models I've had a bit of fun with, and I've drilled all the barrels.

I used the Sector Imperialis bases, and was fairly impressed with them.

Now I'm just waiting for it to stop raining so I can undercoat them.

I should try to field a team of Ogryns, though I'd probably be limited to only three of them. :-/

Oh hey, what about 4 ogryns, 3 ratlings? Abhuman solidarity, right?

The supply does not get to make the demands.

My first five death company models, the sixth is currently in progress, and one more is waiting in the wings to be started.

I'll post progress on the next two shortly, but here's the first five members of my 7 model killteam.

Good looking killteam also Ben2. Looking forward to seeing more of them!

Take it easy.

You don't know me son, so I'll explain this to you once: If I ever kill you, you'll be awake, you'll be facing me, and you'll be armed.

Been busy the past couple of nights.

Going to explain why they are on the 25mm bases before anyone asks.
I have about 70-100 Deathwatch marines already on 25mm bases. I am not rebasing all of them, so instead getting little 25-32mm base extenders so I have continued the trend so these fit in better.

Got my base 5 Veterans

Left to Right:
Infernus Heavy Bolter - hard to tell but I have Vanguard legs on him to be a visual cue to myself that he is Assault, and Not Heavy.
Standard Vet - Nice and simple.
Blackshield - Magnatised at the right hand and left shoulder for options to switch up weapons.
Vet Sgt - Has the Xenoblade, but treating him as a Regular CCW for now.
Frag Cannon - Awww yeah.

Here is a pic with the magnets exposed
Spoiler:

Here are a few of the B-Team to sub in

Left to Right:
Stalker Bolter - Gotta give him a try.
Shotgun and Shotgun - These guys might be fun.
Heavy Thunder Hammer - Just wanted to build one of these guys.

Aside from some minor details (aye, including the bases!), Kill Team Rayet is done, all I need to do now is get their Taurox / Sentinels done and I'm all set for the upcoming tourney.

Specialist 1: Scion Katya with hotshot volleygun (Relentless)
Specialist 2: Scion Anna with plasma gun (Ignores Cover, hence the vox array on her back)
Specialist 3: Scion Natalya (Preferred Enemy, due to her eyepatch of hatred)
