Yours may be my favorite Necron army that i have seen. Tell me bad-sam, what do you do to weather your metals. I would love it if you posted a tutorial. I am working on a deathgaurd army but it would be cool to include some really dirty iron warriors with my main force.

The restricted range of colors you chose is very powerful.
The grit/weathering adds a lot of depth and character.
I think a lot of people are trying too hard to do too much with the Necron models as far as paint scheme, etc..
If it isn't broken don't fix it, and you have taken the basic canon look and elevated it to the next level

I am SO WAITING to see the tutorial. This site is going to register an upsurge in activity because i am going to just leave browsers open to Dakka eveywhere i go till you upload the goods on the technique. I loved the weathering and the fact that you have necron glyphs barely visible under the layers of what look like a varnish or glaze that has built up naturally over time.
Keep up the good work. i really like your army. NICE without being to over the top. Jobs a good un.

Holy macaroni Batman. It's Tomb Blade! Here is my take on Necrons 2nd wave. Tomb Blades were fun to assemble and paint. I was going to magnetize those guns, but when i realized that my mags are all but gone i just glued the Particle Projectors on. S6 small blast is good enought for me. I had to add that statue piece on one of those bases so it would not fall all the time. Stay tuned for more wonders of the Tomb Worlds! Next Doom/Night Scythe (with 7 color can painting tutorial!) -Bad-Sam- Automatically Appended Next Post: Painting tutorial can be found here --> http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/454175.page More Doom Scythe photos tomorrow. Stay tuned! -Bad-Sam- Automatically Appended Next Post: And finished Doom Scythe. I very happy with the outcome. Metals look as they should. and varnish did not mess glows too badly : Its too big for my forest background So huge, shiny and deadly. Closeup on that Living Metal and unliving Necron Glow! The Badboy. I say ZAAAP! you say AAARGH!. Oh yeah! Stay tuned! -Bad-Sam-

Night Scythe
Yesterday i realized that i didnt build those Wormhole teleporters for Night scythes.
I was so exited about those deathrays that it slipped from my mind totally. Oh well here
they are now.
These have been magnetized also.

Awesome C'Tan model! I admit, it was a bit difficult for me to see the Eldar being ripped in half, maybe if you used different colors for him (or I'm suddenly color-blind or something) he would be more distinct. Anyways, great job!

Hello again,
Here are the newest additions to my Necron army
Nemesor Zahdrekh. I swapped his hand with one with Resurection Orb (so i will remember that he got one....)
Vargard Obyron. This is one menacing looking mini. "Touch my master and ill kill you"
Together forever ( <3 )
That white armor looks pretty ok. It differs little from rest of the army, but they are very special chracters
Illuminor Szeras
This one was nasty to glue to together. That ripped off head is really cool IMO
Hes like mental dentist.
New bad boys on the block. I think ill get full wraithwing. These will rip through anything. ANYTHING!
And they are way bigger now .
Necron style Quad-Gun.
I just had to do it. I only need idea for that Aegis wall.
Thats all for now.
Stay tuned tho!
