Yea, news of yet another 28mm game left me cold, but 54mm has my interested piqued ...

I'm quite the reverse of that - 28mm (+/- 5mm) is fine.

54mm?

No thanks!

Does anyone have enough 54mm terrain around?

I know GW once did a single piece of terrain for Inquisitor, but that's about it.

Fairly happy with all this news. Troops / Heroines being ready to ship soon is great to hear - was expecting this to be another 6 months.

Happy that the pledge manager may open again too - I want a bunch more stuff

So many games, so little time.

So many models, even less time.

Screw it, Netflix and chill.

Are we still thinking this is on track? It's been really silent for a bit.

They just had lots of sales, and weren't they talking about re-opening the PM? Cash flow issues?

They announced 3 weeks ago that the next round of shipping will begin in January. I wouldn't worry too much.

By their standards though, it's still on target.

I always see them having a sale. In fact it's the only news I get from them. So I have to wonder if they ever sell minis at regular price (other than the odd add-on to a discount bundle) and if they just miscalculated their margins. If you can afford to have revolving sales and still come out ahead, a savvy buyer should figure it out.

If I were a pessimist I'd say they are scrounging together money to pay for professional painters, as those bikes are still either unpainted or absent from the on-line store, which is probably the last thing they still need to have for that digital artbook of the first KS we're still due, remember that?

Feth the art book. You'll get more respect out of me if you finally sell all your gak, even the unpainted ones, at a regular pace.

And stop using kickstarter. You can pull a Mantic when you'll deliver like Mantic.

So does this mean you'll not be pledging for the third or fourth one when they'll be doing their own set of rules?

And yeah, after getting the Kingdom Death digital artbook, I'm no longer interested in this one, if it ever does drop. Doubt it though.

Automatically Appended Next Post:
I can see why they've stopped using KS, as the most recent comments of the first one are almost all about that long overdue artbook and how to get in touch with them about it.

Well yeah. I'm assuming some who pledged only on the first campaign down give a damn about this second campaign and although they won't do anything worthwhile with the artbook, because they can't even wipe themselves with it, it's nice when a company does what it said it'd do.

And no, I will not pledge. 2016 has been a year of hard re-evaluation for me. I've dived in head-first into creating value for our company, and that has put a serious crimp on gaming time. I can't justify taking 4 to 6 hours for a game whose outcome I don't care as much as say, fun with people on a coop boardgame or something as simple yet rewarding as X-Wing.

I'm probably not going to pledge for a train campaign.

Ah, gotcha!

I wouldn't pledge for that either...

..unless it is some spectacular terrain AND a good deal.

Probably not going to happen.

And are you really going to wait a long, long time on the terrain to arrive? While they may have more or less perfected their workflow and system for doing miniatures, this would be a completely different can of worms they need to learn about.

I don't understand what the issue is. Prior update, they said the shipping will start early January and for people that ordered specific large items, late January. What does reopening the pledge manager mean?

I'm happy with all of the TGG stuff I've received both 1 and 2. I've never had a problem with customer service if there was an issue with any of the minis I got. They are late but they have made improvements since TGG1. If they continue this trend then TGG3 or 4 should deliver on time. I'm happy with them.

It only means those who want to can order more stuff at KS prices (pretty tempted, but I've got KS to feed so i'll have to have a hard look at what I ordered and if missed out on anything I really want)

The feeling is that the constant re-opening of the pledge manager is a potential sign of cashflow issues (and thus a sign of problems with cashflow management). There's also the feeling that the the constant re-opening of the pledge manager is one of the factors which leads to their inability to perform within their given time constraints.

I think the inability to perform within the set time constraints has always been there and will remain for the next KS projects to come, especially given how the next two are going to deal with things they've never worked on before: terrain and rules.

Eh, I'm still plenty excited to get my girls, and since I planned on them arriving Summer 2017 they appear to be well ahead of expectations Casts look good, etc, etc. Also reminded that I should open up my first round stuff and see if I too suffered the infamous impossibly-slimy mold release ...

I would a first time re-opening not call constant
and that they had problems with their cash flow because of paypal was already announced
