If you enjoy Fantasy Flight Games, you really should take a look at
Runebound.
It does not have the 'dick the other players' syndrome that makes so many of these board games bad for a non-traditional play group (you know, women that aren't gamers).
That's a huge plus.
It's best described as you play a
DND character running around doing adventures.
You level up after you gain experience, you can buy items with gold gained from monsters, etc.
Everyone has the end-game goal in mind, and just when it seems you have it in the bag...you fail and someone else swoops in for the win.
Note: while there is a player versus player combat included nobody does it.
I've really enjoyed it, my wife (who never plays games) has enjoyed it and actually *wanted* to play it again the next day, and my regular crowd of jaded
DND'ers has enjoyed it.
It has alot of support, meaning lots of different adventures to be had. This is a good thing, I think.
I'd rate it 9.5/10. Highly recommended.
