Dude, just set up a gaming budget and let that be it. As long as you can account for your hobby spend, it's all good.

I'm at a point where I think $20/mos ($250/year) might be a fair number.

Check the latest posts from Sad Panda, he said a campaign will be released after the Ghostkeel. The Space Wolves Codex came after Stormclaw which already had some new rules for them in the campaign booklet. Not saying this is going to be the Tau vs RG set but it could turn out to be and then the Codex: Tau is released afterwards. Tau looks to be a large release - probably until the end of October.

DAMN!
This is MUCH bigger then I expected.

I guess the "one a bit bigger one a bit smaller" rumor turned out false. I wonder what's the real size of the ghost then, I recon it might actually be far smaller than riptide, maybe its a broadside-ish sized kit even?

can neither confirm nor deny I lost track of what I've got right now.

Seems like the next words outta your mouth should be "where's my money?!"

Also, you need a personal checking account that your wife can't access!

The Ghost is larger than a Broadside it seems - see the last pic I posted. It also comes on an oval 105mm base unlinke the BS which is still on a 60mm circular one

It's funny, they have the Tau fighting Blood Angels, an army that doesn't stand a chance in hell against Tau. Way to put a top tier army against a bottom tier army, GW.

I like that Ghostkeel, it looks unique compared to the other big MCs.

They also have it fighting Imperial Guard. At Rapid-Fire range.

Yeah, Tau are one of the easiest races for IG to obliterate in rapid fire range. 4s to wound on top of their gakload of dice lol. I wouldnt be caught dead in (badum tssh) that close to a horde of guardsmen. Yeah we still get our armor but that kinda doesnt help when its 50-50 odds with a minimum of 40 wounds on average lol

Its not like this hobby is any different than just about any hobby outside knitting/crocheting lol in terms of cost i mean.

People that trick out their car either in performance or audio spend WAY more than we do typically. Guy in my college class has around 7000USD in his car for audio and fancy lighting...im not joking either... lol. I have 1600USD in Tau and around 2k in Orks. Nowhere near as expensive, and to me much more enjoyable (and lot less risky of being stolen/broken via crashes)

That being said, if this is a side hobby or a casual passion yeah its kinda pricy lol. 40k is about all i do that actually costs a noticable amount of money, so it doesnt bug me how much i invested in it so far (and about to be ~400 more lol)

The cockpit picture kinda makes it seem like the head of the suit is actually the "lid" of the cockpit...which is kinda odd lol.

Still, i love the idea of cockpits. Crisis suits are a bit small to model it without leaving the model weakened, but Riptides shoulda had that feature.

I'm glad it didn't. Otherwise I wouldn't have the room the shove the batteries for the LEDs.

It's worth mentioning that someone posted a list that had the Devilfish given a designation(I think it was T-7 "Devilfish"?), and all the missing items are in the old style boxes(with action shots!).

Hammerhead is the TX7, Skyray is the TX78, no clue of the devilfish.

What's interesting is that the FW piranha is also TX (TX-42) designation, I guess TX is for ground vehicles now?

Edit: it fits with the curent mass classes for battleuits too, the devilfish body is quite a bit bigger than the pirhana (7 vs 2). I'm thinking the devilfish will probably be TX-7.

TX4 Piranha
TY7 Devilfish

TX must be skimmers intended for direct attacking, while TY must be scout, command, or craft that fill non-dakka tactical roles. Is the Tetra a TY?

It's possible another reason those models have become unlisted is to change the website description, such as adding designations to them, and they haven't been re-listed because of spoilers?

Thanks for sharing that. Must go grab a magazine now... that looks pretty sweet -- better than the front pics we've seen so far, IMO. I agree -- the open/close is cool! I am really liking the pilot visible.

Yeah even if I don't think this models rules are god tier, they're good alright but not astounding.

Even if I thought they were bad like the Storm's I would have to pick one up. I like the look of it too much.
