It's the monolith I build early this year ,they took off its base because it has some other company's parts ,at that time I thought there is no chance I will enter the final three ,but afterall it surprise me by taking 2nd place.

Some of the plinths are getting a little silly, and it seems every second entry has water effects...

Lovely work in there, though. Some very interesting conversions... I particularly like the Rough Rider on the converted warwalker.

as for the GD my favorite would be the container holding the tyranid ripper, classified 'Xenos'

Yep the Inquisitor and the "Despair" diorama are my favourites. I caught myself growing tired of a certain painting style so I won't be a good judge there.
For the Warpshadow guys: "Do the Zoidberg, do the Zoidberg, do the Zoidberg, do the Zoidberg! Now crapwalk, crapwalk, crapwalk, crapwalk! To the left, to the left, to the left, to the left, to the right to the right ,to the right, to the right. Now eat baby eat, eat baby eat."

I must say that I can't really choose a best one. Most of them are amazing. I also really digged the inquisitor judging the poor soul, but also most of the other where very awesome...

all in all it looks like a great display. Have to see if I can make arrangements to go check it out next year...

I remember the lith from another thread of yours ( i think it was some elf chick with a ridiculously well done base).
You really deserve that deamon, the paintjob on that thing it totally crazed. Love it.

That's some of the best GD coverage I've seen ^_^. It'll be nice to see the final photos of the winners.

Yeah, that was one of my favorites, too. I also really dug the Tau throne room with the Slann at the head of it. While there were some things there that I wasn't that impressed with, most everything shown was pretty spectacular. Two other faves of note - the IG Warwalker Rough Rider (not so keen on the rider, but digging on the WW itself) and the Kroot salvaging the Land Speeder. Very nice!

Those are some fabulous paint jobs. Cudos to all the photographed entrants.

But I have never seen some of these models.

That looks like an INQ scale Inquisitor Lord Karamazov

My favourites:

The judgemental one with Karamazov,
The one with loads of Black Suited Krieg'ers and the IFV,

...but the gold goes to: The two Cadians struggling for the gas mask: AWESOME.

What I found interesting is that there's obvious non-GW stuff in there. Such as the red tank with the twin barrels and the first diorama entry both with 1/35 scale tank tracks. And that large-scale Smeagol statue, which is the one that came with the extended cut of The Two Towers.

And yeah, Water Effects was this year's buzzword. A lot of it around.

My personal favorite is the large Karamazov diorama, which presents a very cool scene with, I suspect, lots of sculpting required.

The INQ scale Inquisitor Lord Karamazov is absolutely stunning.

I hope that gets a world-wide WD write up.

This picture seriously made me laugh, and only because the Incubus on the right hand of the pic caught my eye. He looks like he *just* saw the group of harlequins, haha. "WTF?!"
