I've photographed my Emperor before....but I figured I would show him with his newly painted friends. This is part of my (eventual) Horus vs Emperor spacehulk board (Again, inspiration goes to Kid Kyoto!). Sculpted by my good friend Grytz and painted by me....now on to the antagonists after this...then some old school Fists. Anyways, here they are and forgive the skills of the photographer

Holy crap. Can you post some embiggened pics?

Man, I wish there was a real Black Library where I could get a Black Library Card and take out Black Library Books without having to buy them. Of course, late fees would be your soul. But it would be worth it. - InquisitorMack

Click on the picture to make it bigger. I've said it before and I'll say it again, top notch stuff.

Amazing conversions and the paint job doesn't put them to shame.

The gold are rich and the red complements the metallic areas nicely.

The faces look like they could use some additional highlighting, but otherwise really good looking squad.

Man, those things look straight out of the HH art books. Incredible.

i am willing to pay a more than fair price if he wants to sculpt more
need a new commander and command squad, needs to be different, and something like this would be amazing, if he is willing to do it im more than happy to pay him a nice ammount.

Suffused with the dying memories of Sanguinus, the warriors of the Death Company seek only one thing: death in battle fighting against the enemies of the Emperor.

I've seen this of your before,
but in the unit it looks even more impressive.

I agree with the face's comment,
but other than that this is a fantastic squad in all ways.

Really well done.

Cannot wait for the Horus and friends version

Those look awesome! If you do a dred, why not start with the old skool Furioso dred as a base model? It would fit the "progression of technology" for 40k nicely and you can add iconography from the models you have sculpted. I've wanted to do Custodes since I saw the stats for them somewhere in 2nd edition...

What harm can it do to find out? It's a question that left bruises down the centuries, even more than "It can't hurt if I only take one" and "It's all right if you only do it standing up." Terry Pratchett, Making Money

"Can a magician kill a man by magic?" Lord Wellington asked Strange. Strange frowned. He seemed to dislike the question. "I suppose a magician might," he admitted, "but a gentleman never could." Susanna Clarke Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell

Ack! No. Have you really taken a look at one of those guys lately? Not only are they ugly, they're just plain poor sculpts. Unless you're running an entire RT-era army, it would just look out of place. I think you'd do much better scratch-building something reminiscent of an old skool Furioso dread that would have the old skool feel, but would have modern stylings. Dave Taylor did something like this with his Custodes army - he built a dread that looked old skool (though not necessarily as old skool as Fury, Chuck, and Eddy), but looked like it fit with today's 40k.

This is exactly what I meant, DBM, use the core shape of the old dreads to produce an era-appropriate 'nought that has a more modern style. Like what Jes Goodwin did for Eldar, maintaining the overall shapes, but modifying them to be sleeker and more alien.

Yes, like what's on CMON, which is pure win, a slice of fried gold...
