Hi everyone this is my first topic so I'm pretty excited about what you guys think about my PDFD gang. Right now I only have started on modeling my Officer, and it's a work in progress, so any comments are welcome.

The first picture is what I started with and the last picture is what I have right now.

Good start! And welcome to Dakka! (My brother btw...)

As far as modelling goes, you might consider moving the laspistol arm down a bit.

That way, he´ll look like he´s shooting at someone, instead of waving it into the air.

Yeah, the Laspistol needs to be pointing down, otherwise he'll look like he's shooting into the sky. I'd also remodel the cape to make it look like it's being carried by the wind, or at least being pulled down proerly by gravity. Right now the model looks too robotic, but with a few changes it'll look really good.

thanks for your comments. I've been working on him for the last few days and I took the Laspistol arm down
and I set him into a new stance, and I think he actually turned out quite nice.

I hope this looks better in some way.

I don't know if the camo job was a good thing to do, so any comments are indeed welcome?

Welcome!

The moderators were looking at the stats the other day of where people are posting from (countries) and I raised the point that 3 were from the Faroe Islands.

Looks like I've just got 2 more to track down.

I like the new stance, he looks alot more stable.

As for the camo cape- Will the rubble he's standing on be green? If not you may want to go with a camo scheme that is more attuned to the base.

Hey cool, he´s got colors! I like it, but you really need some washes to get better shading.

Seems to be my number one comment nowadays... "You neeeed washessss"...

As far as the camo goes, I´d agree with Waaagh_Gonads that considering the setting of the campaign he´ll be in, you should get camo colors from that.

Seeing as we´ll be hive bound most of the time, cityfight colors, or anything dark should be good.

Oh, and W_G, I am also from the Faroe Islands, I´m just in denmark for a while...

Off Topic I know but with a population of about 47,000 what is the gaming scene like there?

I used to live in a regional town of about 50,000 people and we had 30-40 regular gamers (non kids).

Well, we got our own FLGS a few years back, and as far as board gaming goes we´re fine.

But the wargaming scene is veeery limited, it´s hard to get any kind of tournaments going...

We have had succesful warhammer and Necromunda campaigns, but I´d imagine there are 20-30 gamers max. So not the biggest scene really...

But hey, it´s something to build on, and we´re hopeful!

So, I painted the base and repainted the camo on the cape.

I also added a Goliath head onto the scenery.

So what do you guys think??

Excellent guys! This belongs to Modeling and painting blogs though

I'm really looking forward to following your adventures and adding my comments/suggestions on the models as they progress.

Hi, so finally I have done the finishing touches, on my gang leader:

Hope you guys like it.

Hopefully I will get the models I need when I go to Denmark this week, and then get some gangers up and running (literally), as soon as possible.

Hey aurelion! Go for it man, but the campaign won´t start till late nov. / early dec. so there´s not tha tmuch of a rush.

Also, I have to complete two gangs, since one guy is not a painter, but has great ideas gaming and fluff-wise.
