Hey all,

I've decided I want to include Incubi in my Dark Eldar army, or at least build a squad. I'm not sold on the current models, and they're tough to find on the secondary market. So, I've decided to try to convert up some suitably Incubi looking models from Dark Eldar Bitz, and Eldar Bitz. Here is a very quick concept model (barely held together, no removed mold lines, etc.). I'm looking for feedback - helmet, arms, weapons, pose, etc.

Obviously, it looks a little too eldarish so far, I'm planning on:
1) removing all gems, flattening those areas
2) adding spikes either along the thigh armor, or along the boot area
3) potentially sculpting something more 'mandiblaster' along the helmet sides
4) possibly using different arms. I have a bunch of the 1990 era eldar close combat arms and sprues, and they match up rather well
5) maybe add a tabard to hang along the front

So, ideas, comments, suggestions welcome.

All good stuff, I like what you've done w/ the Punisher. Don't forget the Tormentor Helm though. One prominent feature of the Incubi are the skull looking helms (in addition to the Mandibles you're talking about).

Thanks. Any ideas how to achieve that easily?

looks good to me. I used Dire Avenger heads on mine and torsos. However, I like yours better. Maybe remove the blades from that helmet. I don't know about the "skull" look to the helmet he is talking about. I don't see that at all. Yeah, they are painted white, but if they weren't, would they be considered to look like a skull?

Hmm. Interesting idea to remove the blades from the helmet. It would definately set it apart.

I think that the Incubi helms to have a bit of a skull look, but I think that can be replicated in painting (if desired) on any helmet.

I'll also take a look at the Avenger torsos. I used this one (from the Raider sprue) because it has a bit more bulk than the normal warrior torsos.

I'll post up another DE helmet option tonight, and hopefully make some more progress this weekend - I need more blu-tac to hold these things together :-)
