Wanted to do rough riders a tiny bit different. Mulling over sealing up the rib cages, since you can see right through them at the moment. Sorry about the blurriness, my camera hasn't been doing well lately.

Cool, I like the consept. It's 40k so what can you expect right.
But perhaps putting on some leftover bitz and pieces om things that look electrical, for a more robot feeling?

Anyway cool idea!

I agree with OnTheEdge, this is a very cool concept as I have also been trying to figure out how to make some good rough riders since the GW ones don't fit in with cadians. I think that adding wires from the skull to the body, maybe going into the ribcage could help with making them more robotic.

Thanks for the tip. The Tomb Kings cav box has a bunch of quiver straps that look like passable loose cables, and and misc bits should do well for the rest. I wonder if those skeleton arms could do for stirrups... Make it a bit less "this is a horse skeleton" and more "this is what the servitor shop made when somebody asked for a horse."

The Khopeshes also look like fairly nasty power swords for the vet sergeant and I think I've found my company standard too. Not to mention a gold mine of gratuitous skulls.

The new Scout bikes, cadian heads and arms, but you really want a cool servo steed, there was an Empire Engineer that came out on a robo-horse. Maybe for the sgt of the squad?

thats a really good idea for the riders. i never liked the look of rough riders mixed with a IG army. they always looked out of place. but a ROBO HORSE! now THATS AN IDEA!
