Hello this is my first post i made this thing about a week ago still needs a base i think its pretty cool but unsure if i could use it in an official game or wat to call it

Welcome to Dakka, can't wait to see some more of your work. But this really does need a better photograph.

In the first picture, your camera is focusing on the TV, hence being able to read "samsung" clean and crisply, but the figure being blurred.

I'm not great at mini photography, but make sure your shot is focusing on the right spot, and ensure you have macro mode on.

I know i have a very terrible camera im working on getting better pics

Ok, I see what ya got going on. I like the concept. The best thing you could do is make about 5 or 6 more and use them as a 'count as' Jump troops since there are no Cav units in CSM :(. It'd be nice to see the mount in a full harness or something.

currently my army is a mess of thousand sons black legion and death guard not really sure wat to do with it all.




Would it work if i split them al up into 1500 point armies and if i wanted to play apocalypse i use themm all as allies?

a dental floss dred? hell yea post them bishes up! i too like what your going with there. pretty sweet, either make a lord on it and give your lord a jump pack or like stated earlier, make a squad of them.

I'm pretty sure you can field all those different legion types of troops as one army. I think the Black Legion is actually one of the few that incorporate troops from all the major Chaos powers.

Considering how the new chaos codex works, it doesn't really matter what type of troops you have in your army.

A few tips for cameramanship!

1)Use your own built in biological quality control!!!
There really is little point showing us the blurred pics.
They are just too hard to be constructive about!

2)Use as much natural light as possible and turn the flash off. This will stop your colours looking as washed out!

3) Try investing in a web cam tripod. They cost as little as 5 bucks. Focus then use the timer setting on your camera. Then walk away. No shake= no blur!

4)Infinity backgrounds are your friend! Use an off white back drop. Your backgrounds are cluttered and distracting.
An A3 piece of paper attatched to two sides of a box(floor and back wall) with a curve in it will make the model look like it is floating like how you see in the magazines!
I've not explained this very well have I!?!?!

This isn't suposed to sound harsh, please take it as friendly advice!!!!

As for the model itself!

Use it as bikes, raptors or daemonic steed or wings for a chaos lord!

It's fairly easy to make a scratch built light box. Take any old cardboard box, take off two walls (one at the top so light can go in it (electric or natural - natural is better but you are easily buggered by the position of your window!) and one at the front for your camera (although I supposed you may not need to do this if you have a tiny camera).

Paint the remaining walls a sort of off white (so white, then a dirty wash since you are more likely to have a lot more white paint than grey paint.)

I made the main body peice out of a tooth floss container because im currently short on money due to the fact that its christmas after christmas myforces will be recieving quite the boost with possibly a titan

Well aside from the dreadnought arms, it look nothing like a dreadnought.

That said, it could be made to look like some from of Imperial Robot. Drop the half oil drums off the back for starters.

Beef up his legs as well and change whatever is around his 'feet'.

the things around his feet are cut up sprues and his legs are made from sprues and the leg armor i a spare rhino door cut up lol

i just finished a plague marine and just getting a few pics shuld be post in like 5-10 mins


and ya the plague tower shuld be up today or tomorow

god dammit the plague marine looks terrible in the pic but if you actually look at it not in a photo it looks really good should i upload the terrible photos or not

a photo is better then non i guess, have you tried puttign the macro on on your camera, its the shape of a fower head thing, that might help

Cool - he looks nice and Nurgle-y.

Reading Horus right now and it has a great description of the putrescence of followers of Nurgle (Samus).

Still too hard for me to make out details of what's happening with your mounted guy.

Jump packs would be the best option (as said already) from a rules perspective.

If you have to resort to trying to make dreadnoughts out of floss you might want to get the rest of your army before thinking about a titan. For the cost of a titan you could get an entire army.
