LOL
Was just having a look through some of my old White Dwarf magazines and came across Rick Priestly giving tips on greating a Space Marine Grav Tank (with rules):
and - really funny - a metal band vinyl single record (the thing they had before CDs and cassettes) of "Blood for the Blood God!" with lyrics!
Very funny find!
Also, you could get the old style dreadnaught for 3 pounds 50 and a pack of 5 metal figures for 2 pounds 50!
;-)
Thought some would enjoy that...

That deordorant flask grav tank had 3rd ed rules done using the VDR (it was an example vehicle).
I remember making those back in the day. I also remember giving that flexidisc to a mate who liked metal. Nowadays, how many people still have something that would play it?

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).

Yep, I too made my own scratchbuilt deodorant container/plastic spoon tank thanks to Rick Priestly back in the day...

Man, I wish there was a real Black Library where I could get a Black Library Card and take out Black Library Books without having to buy them. Of course, late fees would be your soul. But it would be worth it. - InquisitorMack |

I gotta say... that's a God Awful picture of Priestly!
No doubt he would be mortified to see it shown the light of day again!
;-)
I hooked up a record player to the computer a couple of years back to get some old children's albums from LP to MP3 for the kids.
Apparently it's not a bad song (if you like death metal).

Old White Dwarfs rock. So much cool stuff.
Warhammer Records started because Bryan Ansell (owner until management buyout in '94) wanted to have a record company. Voila! Bands we debuted in Dwarf.
The only one still active as far as I know is Bolt Thrower.

The old WD's that are 1/2 or 1/3 the size of the current White Dwarf had 3-4 times the info than the current ones..

No doubt 2 heads.
Didn't GW try their hand as a record company or something? I seem to recall reading that GW signed Bolt Thrower to their label.
Old WD beats out current WD everytime for content.
I've still got the directions for scratch building a Baneblade and some Ork vehicles.
Scratch builds and rules were what made WD a mandatory purchase for me back then.

Naming at least two of the bands on GW’s label was a trivia question at my first GT.
Wraith and D-Rok are the two I know of; I’m not sure if Bolt Thrower was ever actually on Warhammer Records.

I have the Bolt Thrower Realm of Chaos Slaves to Darkness CD.
While it shows GW 40K artwork on the cover. It was Earache Records. Licensed by Relativity Records. INC. That put it out in the U.S.A.
I don't know if they are conected to GW's Label.
