After a big dry [australia is no longer in a drought lol politics] of ideas and motivation, im back in the swing of painting, now before i continue with my god fex [sorry for those who were watching for so long but it's being painted now ^^*] i wanted to finish my farseer model that i started a few months ago, before my nids. In a fit of excitement i have ordered 2 boxes of storm guardians, as no one has them, im ulthwe and i like something cool looking ^^.

Now i have painted this farseer as the start of my Ulthwe Strike Force, im starting over again from the ground up and am excited about it now.

Im looking for C&C on the model and please rate on te gallery ^^

the shuriken pistol is from the dire avenger exarch spure i had kicking around and since i saw no point in a knife when you have a swords and the rules state that he/she has a pistol i thought a smart farseer would get one ^^

I like the sword a lot. Great job all around.

Just a thought for when you take your next pic, try putting a piece of printer paper behind the fig.
There's alot of stuff to draw attention away from the fig in the background.

Not a bad Farseer at all. Nice freehaand on the back of the cloak. If I male a small critique, the gold doesn't seem to mesh well with the red. If you would put a dark line around all your gold, that would pop it right out and really jump up the work immensely.

Well, first what I like. The pistol conversion is pretty cool. It fits well with the rest of the model, doesn't detract from the look, but still makes him a bit unique. Colour choice is solid, and it floes together nicely. The Wedjat on the back of the cape looks very nice.

However, there are a few criticisms to be had with it, as with anything else. First, even though I like the colour selection, I feel the red cape could be darkened down a bit. Going straight from black to big, bright, bright red is a little too much for the eyes, and going to a more subdued red could fix that a bit. Perhaps you could even make it gradient from heavy dark red at the top to light red at the bottom. Whatever, just an idea.
Also, there are a few issues with crispness in a few areas. The worst part of that entire paint job is the head, however, it's for a very easy to fix and small reason. The eyes. They need to be a bit bigger. Also, I wouldn't use white highlighting at the tip of the helm when the faceplate is also white, it causes the two to blend together, and they look like one piece, which they're obviously not.

But other then those two issues, I like what I see. Love the colour selection, and like the conversion. Can't wait to see some more.

wait i think the red is actually darker then the photo shows, upon closer inspection . the gloss coat + the lamp might have made it pink.

btw whats that big brown jar on the back it looks so gross lol.

ok, a few clarifications on colours ^^*

The cape/cloak: chaos black under coat, 1:1 chaos black - warlock purple, warlock purple, 2:1 warlock purple - bleeched bone for highlights and yes it's darker in real life, i was using a 800 watts light in my room and is very bright and burns ^^

the highlights on the armour is: chaos black, 1:1 chaos black - codex grey, final highlight of codex grey

I have been working on some of the harliquins i have for my Ulthwe Strike force, i thought i might have to post them on here for show, as always C&C welcome and sorry they are dark ^^*, i will try and get you some better ones ASAP

Really nice work. Like the colour scheme. Is he going to be from Altansar? You make me envious but someday....someday I'll get my workspace back and get back to painting.

Heres a test model for my guardians, in preperation for the storm guardians, now i just have to paint another 9 plus heavy weapon platform. When i have done a few i'll take a group photo of the guardians and harlequins ^^ sorry the pics are still abit dark ^^*

Here is my second harlequin, it needs a few tough ups but im trying to get through most of them and then go back and touch them up, im trying to paint to a dead line [first time at that and its fun, but hard at times], i need to buy another set oif harlequins so that i can convert new newly bough shadowseer, i want to put a harlequin';s kiss on the end on the staff.

No they arnt, but im doing speed painting to try and meet a deadline, after i have completed them and have spare time, i will complete them with detail

I found some fire dragons kicking around the back of my room, still in their box, so i took this time to paint them up, just in case i decide to have them in my ulthwe army

Im sorry i havent posted much in a while but there are lots to come, first is this speed painted swooping hawk, i wanted it look like it had been in battle for awhile, abit of wear and tear sorta thing, here it is
