Tough Treekin

Well today me and mate met down the local workshop to test out our perspective tournament armies and get practicing with them early.
My list being:
2x Daemon Prince: MoS, Lash, Wings: 155pts x2 = 310pts
6 Plague Marines: 2x Plasma, Champ, Fist: 208pts
7 Plague Marines: 2x Melta, Champ, Fist: 221pts
Rhino: 35pts

His List:
Warboss: Powerklaw, Cybork body, eavy Armor
8 Nobs: Painboy, Waagh Banner, Cybork Bodies, All armed with Big Choppas (apart from the Waagh Banner guy which had a PK), Trukk - these were his troops unit
30 Boyz: PK Nob
20 Boyz: 2x Big Shootas, PK Nob
3 Meganobz: 2x Skorchas, Rokkit Launcha, Trukk (with Rokkit, Rienforced Ram)
4 Warbikers: Nob, Big Choppa
15 Kommandos: Snikrot
Mission was Kill Points (great for him not so much for me) with DoW deployment.
He wins roll for 1st turn and allows me to go first, I set nothing up, behind a forest in the center he sets up 30 Orks and the Warboss and Painboy Nobz up in their trukk.
Turn 1
I roll on with everything apart from leaving 1 unit of Oblits in reserve to DS at a later date. My unit of Plasma PM advance and run into a building in the center of my half of the table and take up position, everything else comes on to the left of this building facing this central forest using the Rhinos as cover. His turn everything comes on and runs forward like a good Ork Player should do.
Turn 2
Rhinos zoom 12 inches to the left of the forest and the PM get out, Daemon Princes and Oblits follow up and the other unit of PM move to the front of the ruins.
I lash the big unit of 30 Orks 11 Inches straight through the forest and attempt to lash them again to get them in flamer template formation which fails. The 4 Oblits I have to play with open fire with T/L Flamers and kill roughly 15 Orks, all the PM squads also open fire and reduce the unit down to 5 they pass their leadership test and the Daemon Princes charge in and promptly put those few remaining Orks to the sword.
His Turn 2 sees Snikrot and the Kommandos run on from behind and make a B-Line straight for one Daemon Prince. The bikers move up in support but are too far too my right to be effective now. Meganobz disembark to face the 6 man PM squad and the big Nobz unit charges for DP no.2.
The Meganobz open fire on the 6 man PM squad and kill 3 (to my shock and horror) and Snikrots Boys shoot the DP and cause a wound.
The Combat phase begins I know that if i can survive this turn in combat i can see the game turning in my favor. The Big Nobz Unit charge 1 DP, Snikrot charges a Rhino DP and 2 Oblits, the Meganobz assault the 3 remaining PM. Snikrots unit takes a few casualties from the DP, score a wound on the DP but fail to hurt the rhino or the oblits, the oblits kill a couple more Orks and they pass their Ld test and stick around. the Meganobz wipe out the 3 PM after suffering to casualties from that units PF and the Big Unit of Nobz take 2 casaulties from the DP and reduce the DP to one wound. Not a bad combat phase for me really.
Turn 3
Deepstriking the Oblits right next to the unit and get ready to use flamers and the 2 PM squads move so they are in position to charge the unit of Nobz and Snikrot's unit respectively.
Shooting, the 2 Oblits left near the big combats decide against joining it and grab and easy KP by Plasma Gunning the Meganob to death and the other oblits flamer the 20 Orks reducing them to 10 who pass their armour save.
Combat, the two PM squads charge. The DP causes another wound on the BigNobz Unit and the PM end up killing one more Nob, the Nobz hit back and the DP survives and they kill a couple of PM, i pass my 1 armor save. Snikrots unit is reduced to just Snikrot who sticks around.
His Turn 3. The Bikes move up and shoot the Oblits that killed the meganob and promptly cause 3 wounds and charge in and kill them. The 20 Orks charge to the 2 Oblits that flamed them, cause no wounds and run off the table like big girls. Over in the center Snikrot gets trodden on by a DP. The Big Nobz take another casualty from the DP and promptly kill him and the PM cause and extra couple of wounds. They hit back and kill another 2 PM and the DP. The Line is holding.
Turn 4
The Oblits that are now free from combat move to threaten the bikers and the other unit of Oblits move to try and blow up the trucks for some easy KPs. The DP and PM move up to charge the Nobz and Warboss.
Shooting, I kill 2 Warbikers and the Big Shoota off one of the Trukks.
Combat, the DP charges in kills another Nob and the PM cause another wound. The Nobz hit back and kill the other DP and 2 PM, I pass my armor saves again. Also the Oblits charge to the 2 Bikers and finish them off with some good old fashioned Power Fists.
His Turn 4, One of the Trukks tank shock the Obliteraters, holding its ground fails to touch the Trukk (didn't realize it has a Reinforced Ram) and is run over, the other Trukk tries the same trick but the Oblit just moves out of the way this time.
Combat, The DP dies, and i reduce the Nobz unit down to the Waagh Banner, A Nob, Painboy and the Warboss. They cause a few wounds on the PM but again they take no casualties and stick around.
Turn 5
My Rhino rams a Trukk and promptly blows up up and the Obliterator blows up the Trukk with a Melta shot.
Combat. the PM kill all the Nobz and in return one of the units is wiped out, leaving me with 3 PM left in combat with the Warboss.
His Turn 5 and the PM finish off the Warboss and take no wounds in return. Leaving him tabled but I only had 3 Obliterators, 2 Rhinos and 3 PM left after all that combat.
Total KPs: Me: 9
Him: 4
Wow, what a bloody game, I was abit worried in turn 2 with that wave of Nobz bearing down on me, but as we discussed after the game I managed to win just trough pure attrition.
