It's been a good long while since I posted anything to the Dakka M&P boards here, since I've been distracted by work, life, and Reaper minis. Around last fall I transitioned away from wargames toward Ameritrash/Euro board games and role-playing games. Now, my 750 points of largely bare-metal Khadorans are calling to me to finally do them justice.

These Widowmakers were over 8 months in the making (including about 7 months of total neglect). They're finally finished, and I hope to follow them up with a big shiney unit of Iron Fang Pikemen by the end of March. Anyway, here we go, and comments and criticisms are always welcomed.

Thanks for looking!

That's some really nice painting. I like it a lot. Keep up the wicked work!

I like, but I'm having trouble with the photoshopped background. I think you
need more light (though not flash)

As would appear to be usual around here malfred, you're right. I use a 100W-equivalent compact fluorescent "daylight" bulb to illuminate my el cheapo homemade light tent. I then take the pictures with my venerable Canon SD200 digital camera (it's only about 9 generations old, come on). It's a constant struggle with the poor little camera between adequate lighting, proper focus (there's no manual focus at all), correct colour balance and capturing detail. Another couple hundered equivalent-watts of light would no doubt help (as would a digital SLR), but right now I have neither the lamps nor the space to put them.

Changing subjects, I noticed you post your stuff to the Black Sun Games forums too. Is that a shop I should be checking out?

To others, thanks for the feedback!
