Hiding in a dark alley with a sharp knife!

Simple question...
Are old Space Ork boarboy models an acceptable "counts as" option for bikers (or even...gasp...nob bikers) in your opinion?
Explain.

Perfectly fine. If they were nob bikers they'd have to be noticably larger than the other orks, but other than that you're golden. I've been planning some cyboars for my speed freeks for ages. I can't see why anyone would have a problem seeing as there are no official rules for boarboyz anymore.

Opinions are like arseholes. Everyone's got one and they all stink.

It's as acceptably "counts-as" to me as using eldar guardians on DE cold ones as "exodite" jetbikers.

Considering that I did that back in 2nd ed (guardians on dinosaurs, that is), it would reek of hypocrisy to me if I denounced any ork player for doing what is essentially the same thing nowadays.

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).
Old enough to know better, young enough to not give a ****.

That is not dead which can eternal lie ...

... and yet, with strange aeons, even death may die.

It would not be the first time I've used cavalry models to "count as" bikes. For instance my Nurgle Chaos Legion army has a unit of "bikers" that I modeled from the old RT "chaos renegades on horseback" and skeleton horses. They turned out very nice and along with the old lord on the palaquin they are the center pieces of the army.

Sure sounds good. They're about the same size, it's clear it's a mounted model, what's not to love? Only change I would make would be the addition of some sort of large weapon to represent the Dakka guns, but even that shouldn't be a big deal.

The age of man is over; the time of the Ork has come.
