I was thinking of making a squad or two like this....or even a whole army......it is a head swap & lasgun/shotgun conversion....

I dont think I like the head, but it is hard to tell, because it doesn't sit right on the bodies.

I am copying & pasting pics from several sources....so I may not have correctly scaled or attached parts as they would truely look.....

I like the helmet look on the 1st but the mask from the 2nd. I don't suppose there is an option for that (without massive conversion, I mean).

Your first pic is using the elysian drop trooper head, just a warning but my flatmate has a small force of those guys and they are tiny in comparison to the cadians, they are like truescale 28mm humans, so I think the heads might look comically small on a cadian.

THIS! Is there somewhere I can get that mask with that hat, or is it Conversion only?

It demonstrates an effort made to be understood, and to make your post an easy and pleasant read. By making this effort, you can often elicit more positive responses from the community, and instantly mark yourself as someone worth talking to.

That's a West Wind Productions Secrets of the Third Reich German head. My vote is to use that and go for the WWII/Dust/retro look - I'm doing something similar with my own, except I'll be using the US Steel Helmet heads and the British Paratrooper heads with berets.

And while I love the bulky look of the lasgun conversion you've done, I think it will look kind of funny with the retro look to the troops.

I think the first one would look the best. But seeing as its true scale 28 it will look skinny and throw it all off. Your concepts are pretty good.

The first concept looks nice enough and I do belive that it would look quite nice with a futuristic winter camo pattern. Atleast it would explain the covered up face.

Oklahoma City, Ok.

be careful if you use the first one. if i remember right the Elysian heads
are a little bit small looking on the Cadian body. i've never seen the heads
you've selected for option 2, but i do like them. i second what Sharik said.
i've got over 40 of the Pig Iron Kolony heads and think they are perfect as
far as scale is concerned.

I think fate stepped in and decided for me. At my local Game/Hobby shop, where they sell stuff for people, I found a bag of 100 Pig Iron Russian/Soviet style heads....So I'll do a Valhallan (or Vostroyan) style army. White body armour, white encased weapons, and urban camo on clothes. Land vehicles will be primed black, tiger striped with grey spay paint, and then spattered with black, grey, and white dot camo. Valkyries will be same on top, but underneath sky blue with white "cloud" look.....Here is a photo shopped quick idea....I will also chop off tip of lasguns and add shotgun on chin of lasguns....Cooler look to me.....Red stars and russian slogans (from decal sheets I have from WW2 models) will be appiled too....I'll mix in Vostroyans (heavy weapons teams & HQ), and use current cadfians, new upcoming cadians, new upcoming stormtroopers too with the head swap!

Nice - I really like that look. The white armor will be a nice contrast for the rest of the scheme. Very cool. (Almost wish I thought of it myself!)
