Hi friends!

This time I tried to make a duel scene between two lethal warriors of the 40K Universe, a Space Marine and an Eldar.

I made the base similar as a Spaceship Corridor, the ships of the 41st Millenium Universe.

I modified the miniatures, and I tried to do an impressive scene, just the moment when the eldar cut the space marine armour and his blood was flying out of him.

Yes, it was a difficult action, but I think I made a good job, just that I have in my mind.

Very, very sweet diorama!

I especially like the bolter shell casings on the floor and the blood splatter flying from the wound and the sword.

Did you use a hot glue gun for the spatter and then lay the models sideways until it hardened as it tried to drip?

I like the diorama 's weathering alot .

-the blood on DA's sword looks alittle rushed.

-the amount of blood splashed from marine is too much ,
or the cut is too small/shallow ( though not a big deal since holywood does the same over dramatic blood splatters)

-the blood from the marine to the DA's sword should trace a curved path.

Aardboy77, to make the blood effect I use plastic that I previously burn with a lighter. I do the correct form and when it's dry, I glue it in the mini. In this case into the wound of the Space Marine. Ah! And for the blood's drop I use a very small glue drop. After that I paint it with Red Blood (GW), Black Ink (GW) and I glaze it with a brilliant glaze.
This is my own way, but there are others, too.

LunaHound, thanks for your comment. I think that in this scene I need to do not a realistic blood or attack instead a dramatical effect. Like in a gore movie. Maybe I'm wrong but I think it's better for the visual effect. But I'm ok with you.

The eldar could have stabbed the marine and took his sword out in a hurry

Regarding stab , the blood wouldnt be 1 sided on the eldar blade , and the blood wouldnt splirt in an angle either .

It looks great, but I would have gone with the marine sawing him in half just cuz...chainsword are cool

My only complaint is there is too much blood on the sword. The cut wouldn't leave that much on there. And if the blade were a high enough quality to cut power armor, the blood wouldn't stay on it.

I would know, I have cut many things with some very impressive swords.

Anyway, looks good. What I don't understand is, if you're going for an impressive, cinematic effect on the diorama, then why do you have such plain poses in such a plain, flat background? Don't get me wrong, you did an amazing job painting and modeling, but it looks a little plain for what you were going for.

Perhaps have some blood splatter on the ground? It looks a little odd with just a single stream of blood coming from the tip of the sword.

Again, masterful paint job, great job connann.

Now if you could do the part where the Eldar witch (sorry don't know what their called) gets hacked by the Blood Raven Sgt. while he's still glowing with a few electric currents in his body.

You are right.

I think it's great. All the blood (whether realistic or not) adds to the sort of over the top, epic feel of the diorama. The weathering is excellent on those panels.

The blood painting on the DA sword looks excellent, I'm quite impressed with that. I also like the attention to detail on the rest of the diorama... especially the leaky vent shaft. Good stuff! You've inspired me to create one once I finish painting my army.

That's one of the best dioramas I've ever seen. Repaint the Marine as an Ultrasmurf and it's perfect. Let's face it, his colour scheme is a bit drab.
