Hi, im a new member and was just wondering what you all thought of my Imperial Guard army...my original idea was a conscript army led by some indepent commisars but the evil doctrines got in my way i did me guard any way have a look comments apprecaited (i cant spell)

They look pretty good for a newbie.

They look better than good, they look nice, newbie or not. You painted your Guard better than most people who have been playing for years! I like what you did with Yarrick, but you might want to plug up that hole in his thigh (I might steal your idea if I ever get a spare Yarrick body).

Hey it looking good my only gripe is the heavy bolter mount it on a bigger base with a tripod looks a lot cooler and gives room for moddeling other than that its looking good.

Same, i dont like the models and to be honest i dont understand the concept, cavalry 38,000years on? i'm confused.com.

but any way yeah the legs are the scout legs it is a very easy conversion all you need is the scout bike kit and a cadian body, head and grenade arm if you want hunting lances(just my idea for hunting lances ) it is a slight annoyance getting the scout arm to fit to the bike and the rough rider but its really easy

good job newb, your troops can fight along side mine any day. I love the RR, great action pose.

Your armys coming out good. it's funny ive always loved the imperial guard but what stopped me from becoming one is bad armour(i know orks armour is ussually worse but they make up for it in numbers and quick vehicles) plus the common issue las gun has no armour penetration what so ever. but anyways for a newb your off to a amazing start. like skinattitar said i have personally painted these for a long time but i cant do those kinds of things that well. what im really in question about though is whats your stratedgy for this pound at long range with a basilisk then move your guard and rough riders in for the kill?

lol I had the same idea for the motorcyles 'cept it was the capped officer w/ hvy weapons pointing hand instead of i.g trooper but I didnt even have as cool of a basing like that( lol I suck at basing) Weird how the only army where you would think they would have motor-cycle squads doesnt have one. other than that i got to say i love how every ones got the mud weathering. very grity and guard-like!

one question, cause i've benn plaining on doing my own RR conversion, are you going to make hunting lances with standard parts or someting more futureristic, thats if you plan on doing hunting lances

Btw i have only got the one rough rider at the moment but any way, in my 750 pts i've got 2 squads of 30 conscrpts lead by independent commisars(yey ld10 conscripts ) i armoured fist squad, command squad with priest and basilisk. i had a battle with a ravenwing army latly my local gw and it had 12 bikers and sammael master of the ravenwing. My plan was to do what i did: baslick most of them and let the fantical priest saw the rest to

my priest killed 3 of 12 bikers and sammael annilation to the extreme

you said about the lasguns ap...which really doesnt matter because if you have 60 of them in a shooting phase you might just kill a marine or two let the tanks (and crazy priests )do the work, my 60 men just to look scary(in numbers, conscripts could never be scary )

As i said in the last post i only have one and anther work in procress but my hunting lances are just grenades because i'm a bit lazy and i think that lances sort of fit better with cavalry, but the grenades fit the purpose of a weapon that only works the first time you go in to combat...i think.

Very nice Werdes, i like the leman russ and that vox caster up close

I like those! Only sugestion would be to muddy up the tanks a little to give a third 'colour' like the bikes. It's more pleasing to the eye.
