hi everyone who liked the look of my pictures or found this thread. I bought a squad of Imperial terminators of my mate and as you probably know a squad of the emperors finest doesnt quite suit a chaos army and I love obliterators and their versitality so one thing led to anotherand here you are!

I think they are old mark 4 termies. they use very similar body shape and weapons to the current terminator set however they are reasonably thinner.

Seriously though, more lascannons sticking out of places Lascannons should not be sticking out of. and more weapons overall. the wolf heads look good though

Hmmm, the work is crude, the lumps of GS are way too big for my liking... Also, they need a tone more ordnance!

Chicken, it makes it a lot easier to view if you rotate your images before up loading them.

It looks like you have sandwiched the GS between the head and the body. Maybe it would be better to attach the heads and then soften the join with a smaller amount of GS?

Interesting concept though.

ok with green stuff Im not experienced ( I've had a only weeks practice!)

as for the ordanace problem this was just a cheap conversion just reusing bits from my bitz box which is still weedy as I am new. i had no lascannons spare.

as for grandmasters comment about the green stuff it was almost impossible to glue the wolf head to the termie as there was only an extremely small area for glue and the wolf head was at a different angle then the collar/neck. I use the green stuff as the adhesive.

It's a good start, but to count them as Oblits, you will probably need to represent more weapons on the models.

Sorry, I'm not a big fan. The wolf head is weird, and they still look much more like old style terminators than huge hulking obliterators. You could try to space out the armor more. Definitely mount them on 40mm bases. Try to add more mutation so it does not just look like a suit of terminator armor with some guns coming out. Also, more weapons would help them look more like obliterators.

I like em. Kinda ties the whole "beastmen" thing together with the marines.

One thing:

When you sculpt fur with green stuff....get a layer on there, let it dry, and then do another layer on top. Then, with a probe, or even a bent paper clip...slowly "pick" at the green stuff. You can even do it over the existing layer. It will make the fur look a million times better, and add erase the "seams" if you will. That way, it will all blend together.

Good luck, and post pics!

First, Happy Birthday, hope you get more bitz for it. :-)

Second, if this is the first time you have ever tried greenstuffing, good first effort.

Ok, things to remember when mounting odd heads and strange weapons. If you cannot glue them in place due to contact issues Pin them. Run a length of Paper clip pin into the point you want to mount the item then mount the item on the end of it. Try to get it as close as possible leaving the least amount of gap. Once dry, then fill in with GS or putty.

Also, dental tools and a sculpting tool are worth the investment beyond measure.

Here is a couple links you may want to check.
