I decided to kinda show off a bit of my ripper project...I've been, slowly, collecting rippers of all types from people... my goal is 100 rippers by the end of 2009. Maybe more... they will be ran with my digestion swarm.

All FW rippers = ohm242's lovely blessing of a trade...

I'm at 43 rippers right now, 9 of which are flyers when I finish and base em

For the rippers not on bases, and one of the flying ripper bases, I will have some guardsmen and marines being eaten or attempting to fight the swarm... I'll green stuff a few new ones for those bases... I've got some sketches and will upload when I'm not lazy/busy

NOM NOM NOM!

i think you need some malanthropes
if you want a nice theme add malanthropes and raveners and you got a theme

Very cool, I've always wanted to make an army with tons of lil rippers. You might want to think more about modeling guardsmen on the bases though, when you model your army fighting another army on their base it looks pretty weird when you actually play a battle.

That looks like a fun army. I'd like to drop some railgun Submunitions on it sometime .

I NEED MOAR RIPPERS...

and yeah your right on the looking funny maybe...but still, I'd love to have them eating something

Check my threads for mr mega-ripper...related, very, to topic. I havn't touched him for a bit though.

In regards to digestion swarm: Pretty much what I've coined ripper-spam... EAT EM UP AND DIGEST

I need to make some pools...

But yeah, again, if anyone has rippers they dont want...

ill ask about with a few local gamers, alot play nids, yet i dont see rippers, they may have them in bitz boxes

if you want to make a malanthrope for a reasonable cost (rather than buying one from FW) you can build one using the fex model, some GS and a few sare parts (including the terrain from the stealer box)

cracker: they never run, allways moving closer, cheap on points, lots of attacks, upgrades, they are annoying
allthough they cant take objectives :(

similar concept, its not a malanthrope, I mean similar modelling concept...

thats a super-mega huge ripper (or life size tiny ripper!)... imagine a mobile digestion pool that can vomit rippers and bio-acid on it's targets when attacking close combat

but yeah, Im gonna make a malanthrope eventually, just not a priority yet.
