Great use of washes! The models look good. About how long did it take you to paint the squad?

I like the bases too, were they complicated to make? I've had ideas for something similiar but I wasn't sure how hard it'd be.

Very nice. Can you give us a basis of how you did you scheme, including washes?

@ KingCracker
Bite your tongue!

@ wyomingfox
Total was probably about 6-8 hours. Yeah, for 5 Orks. I think I'm doomed here.

@ deffskullz
Teeth are painted Burnt Umber (think Scorched Brown), then Snakebite, then a mix of 4:1 Bone to Snakebite, then topped off with Bone. Straps are the same, but get an additional highlight of 2:1 Bone to White.

@ Alazahr
Was there something specific? I keep detailed recipes of all my painting steps because I'm just that OCD.

@ number9dream
The bases have HO scale cobblestone plasticard on them as seen here:

I cut the plasticard along the stones to give a ruined cobblestone look, then filled them in with normal basing material.

They're painted dark brown, then I go in and paint some of the cobblestones in various greys and browns to add some variation. Then they get a drybrush of khaki and a light grey color (Khaki Grey and Stone Grey Model Color, respectively).

It's a bit labor intensive, but I'm not trying to rush this army and I like the effect. Besides, I don't paint every cobblestone, that would drive be mad.

Only 6-8 hours... It takes me like 8 hours + to paint one fracking marine scout! Jeesh, I am jealous enough so I would hate to see your rush jobs!

You've got to hit it assembly line style. The only thing you should be painting 1 at a time is HQs. Maybe Sergeants.

Nope, I am slow at the assembly line too.

Sir, those are nearly lifelike. Keep taking your time, the results are gorgeous!!! The intricate details really add together to give a weathered feel without it looking intentionally weathered (as in a weathering technique was specifically used to achieve the effect).

They really feel warcraft 2 to me, although that genre of orc/ks does not have guns heh.

Nuclear: Properly pronounced new-clear, not new-cue-lir. There is no 'u' between the c and l, so stop saying it because it just makes you sound like a dumbass. This includes nucleolus, and all other derivatives of the word.
