I picked up the new sentinel kit today. I figuered because all the weapons options came in the kit I'd magnetize everything. I'm really impressed with the kit, I can even switch between scout and armored.

I probably posted more pix than I really had to, I just wanted to point out how easy it is to make this kit modular. The sentinel ranks pretty low on the "must have" scale but I really like having a kit that gives me all the options.

Do you play 30k? It'd be a lot cooler if you did.

Sadly no. There's about 5mm gap if I try and put the top on with him in there.

Nicely done. I take it those are all magnetized from the side? Wonder if you can make it so that they can swap between a Valkyrie kit and the sentinal.

What size magnets did you use for this?

You definately could, might need some alterations to make them look right but they do fit to the hard points on my valk.

The D201's are the ones I used on my Valkyrie too. Great little magnets.

Please excuse adding to this post a bit late but it seemed relevant.

I had been looking for a while for a good conversion for the sentinel.

This is a good alternative to the above posted method.

Some ideas I went by when I made this:

Have armor around the pilot just keep it open top for the ability to poke your head out to look / listen / smell so good sentry/scout work.
Would want to be able to slap on a roof if needed due to change of conditions.

Kept my hunter-killer glued on (may regret that later).

Keep ammo attached to the gun not separate.

Yes, I found there was no post and it looked too clean to be a short-shot. Some error in the mold or something stuck in it? Made it easy for me to throw in a magnet all the same.
