I took these a few weeks ago before I moved half way around the world as sort of a last hurrah for the armies I painted in 4 months in Maryland before shipping them off. This first batch is a broad overview. Due to space limitations the convoy is a lot more bunched up than it should be. Also it would make more sense to have all turrets facing outward, except for the first vehicle.

Vehicle notes:
The two Whirlwinds & Immolator are the last Rhino's I've done. It took me building, painting & experimenting with all the other Rhinos before I finally got it right. The Rhino with the old style HK missile was built out of spare parts from three other Rhino kits just for fun. The old style Rhino & Rhino with the troops disembarking I used to practice weathering to see what worked. Also the one with troops was my first (bad) attempt at putting together the new Rhino chassis. The Predator Annihilator up front was my first tank built back in August 2002 (I was out of the game for awhile and painted intermittently between then and December 2008 when the old Rhino & new Rhino were built). It's painted with some kind of shiny paint that if I made it now I wouldn't have used, but it's bad paint is like a bad tattoo, so no regrets.

The IG vehicles- The dazzle camo Hellhound was my only attempt at trying to camo by hand. I've seen just used Regal Blue over a chaos black primer for the Navy blue of the rest. Oddball's Special is darker than the others because my spray gun wasn't cooperating that day but the other guys at the GW thought the base looked fine so I detailed it up and found myself in agreement.

Also the fuel farm is fuggly, I tried something, it didn't work and my attempt to over paint failed. (I tried using a shade of red over bolt gun when I used too much boltgun, now it's a shiny red.)

Adrift within the vortex of my imagination.

I am not sure about your comms array.

you have a huge baeplate and little bitty aerials sprouting from it. it doesnt add up. I lijke the idea of reusing the artillery emplacement but what you need is to remove the aerials and convert a plastic pudding bowl into a large dish antenna and mount it on the baseplate, that would make more sense for the size of ther plate and would look extra good on your tabletop.

n'oublie jamais - It appears I now have to highlight this again.

It is by tea alone I set my mind in motion. By the juice of the brew my thoughts aquire speed, my mind becomes strained, the strain becomes a warning. It is by tea alone I set my mind in motion.

Oddball question here about the two blue Russ tanks that have the turret pointing behind them. They seem to have a non standard LR turret, it looks both shorter and wider that is usual. When I looked in your gallery, the same tank (I think it is the same anyway) looks like a regular LR turret. Did you use a FW turret, or some kit bashing of your own to get the bulkier turret? Inquiring minds want to know (and get a close up lol).

The two with the turrets spun back are FW turrets. The one in my other pictures is 'Oddball Special' which is in the background with the crew around it. Both are FW 'Modified Ryza Pattern' turrets, the short barrel on 'The Misery Chick' (Guess what cartoon inspired that one) is the standard Russ turret (IMO this turret should be the standard turret, it looks better) and the 'Old Virginia II' is a Vanquisher turret. The drivers respectively are a SOB Immolator operator head and a Armored Sentinel pilot head.

Maybe some one else here has more experience with the spray gun, when I sprayed this models and it dried they looked good, no spots, etc but when I took pictures of them the blue paint is thin in some places and almost transparent in others.
