Hi i am a big stargate fan and so have dedicated the eldar to a little conversion.
the models your about to see are made with GS i used the heads of the space wolf and
space marine commander (box set) backpack for the anubis and horus guards,
for the serpent guards i used the pet snake of serpentor (g.i.joe)model,
the death gliders are done by cutting of the wings and repositioning them outworths
and filling it up with plasticard, the ha-tak is made from a necron monolith and four
yes four imperial stardestroyers (starwars).well i`ll just lett the pictures speak for themself.
enjoy and comments are welcome.
JAFFA.
JAFFA SOKAR GUARDS.
REPLICATORS.
DEATH GLIDER 1
HA-TAK.
i will make some close up pictures of the jaffa including the femal jaffa.
cheers.

Kinda blurry, but I see enough to make me think its cool.
I don't watch much stargate though, so I will wikipediatize it and learn about this race called the "jaffa"

"I.. I know my time has come" Tethesis said with a gasp, a torrent of blood flowing from his lips.
"No! Hang on brother!!" Altharius could feel the warmth slip away from his dear sibling's hands
Tethesis's reached out his bloodied arm to Altharius's face.
"I..I have one final request"
Altharius leaned close to listen, tears welling in his once bright eyes.
"make sure th..they put my soulstone in a tank... it'll be... real fethin' cool"
"Yes, you're gonna be the most fethin' cool tank!!" burning hot tears streaked down Altharius's face, as he held his brother's soul in his grasp.

It's not like the tasty sweet jaffa, it's pronounced Jah-Fah. Just for the record.
I was thinking of doing this myself! Excellent conversions, but some clearer pictures would be better.
The serpent helmets look a bit goofy though. I personally would have found some bitz from a different range online.

I've been slowly working on a few conversions based around this idea myself! (though since I dont like the TV show, I've been sticking to inspiration drawn straight from the movie- the TV show toys with some good ideas, but I like the feel of the movie a hundred times more then then the TV show)

Great conversions, especially Apophis. He was one of the best TV sci-fi villains. I always thought that Stargate SG-1 would make a great tabletop wargame all by itself. There are plenty of armies.
Airforce airmen
Marines
Jaffa (Rebel and not-rebel)
Unas
Tok-Ra
Not to mention one piece of scenery that everybody would have to have.

Seeing as how they avoid battle, it would be a hard army to field in a wargame though.....
Oh yeah and Thor's race too...

I was expecting something awful when I saw the name of this thread. A sense of dreadful anticipation came over me. I'm happy to say that it was all unfounded. These are really quite good, especially the Death Glider. Just thin down your paints and I think these would be more awesome!

Oh yeah and Thor's race too...
They're "the NOX", not "noks". Thor's people are the ASGARD, although seeing as they're all clones of the same template, Thor's person.
Not bad, the anubis and Horus guards look cool. Couldn't make out what the Sotek ones are supposed to be though.
There are, however, already miniatures out there for SG (including jaffa'a). I'd just use them.

Now, I don't watch Stargate, and don't plan to anytime soon, but anything with Anubis and Horus is automatically awesome.
Coupled with your GS skills, those models are definitely great, would definitely make a good Khemrian army for Fantasy!

I kind of agree with you, SG-1 got a little desperate the last 2 seasons with all the Merlin mythology stuff, but it was still really entertaining. They are going to come out with a few Stargate Atlantis movies, the first is called Extinction.
Stargate Universe is going to follow an expedition that, after unlocking the secret of the 9th chevron, ends up on an ancient automated ship that just floats around planting stargates. I think it has potential, plus Robert Carlyle and Lou Diamond Phillips.
Anyways, back on topic. The commander from the new gw catachan command squad would make a good teal'c. and for the rest of the team, cadians with shoulder pads removed and modded heads if you dont want helmets. Im going to get started on some soon, try to post some progress.
