I posted images of this titan on my Warhound thread and now I've discovered another scratch built Warlord titan.

They seem to be multiplying like jackrabbits so if anyone has Warlord titan images to share post them here and be sure to credit the builder if known.

I'll start the ball rolling with this beauty by Dave Smith.

Do you play at the Bunker in Southern California... Not sure what city it's in but I live in the general area. That bad boy is on display there now and I was talking to the red shirts about it not too long ago.

"From the fires of Betrayal unto the blood of revenge we bring the name of Lorgar, the Bearer of the Word, the favored Son of Chaos, all praise be given to him. From those that would not heed we offer praise to those who do, that they might turn their gaze our way and gift us with the Boon of Pain, to turn the Galaxy red with the blood, and feed the hunger of the Gods."

Very Astonishing

When the clarion call is sounded, I will ride out and fight in the name of liege and lady, Whilst i draw breath the lands bequeathed unto me will remain untainted by evil. Honour is all. Chivalry is all...

Do you think you could get in touch with the owner Dave Smith and persuade him to let us have some more pictures/ joint our forum/ show more of his building images and techniques, some of which I have; see below. In lieu of that could you take some pictures yourself with the owner's permission of this monster.

Thanks,

Well this started out as a super sized Reaver but is closer to warlord sized (22 inches tall). So the working title is Reaverlord.

Still a WIP, but moving along briskly:

I am starting to detail the inside.

Dave Smith's warlord is fantastic, from the pictures it is the best big 40k scratchbuild I have seen.

Inspiring. Absolutely amazing. Look at that detail. I want to know how it was added. Carved in? Greenstuffed on? What? It is a thing of beauty. I can't imagine how many hours went into the construction.

Dave Smith's Warlord certainly sets the bar. I think it's combination of extra attention to detail and getting the right proportions that really makes it right on the money.

indeed, this model is without a doubt one of the best

It's indeed inspiring to get so many replies on this thread already. I posted the same images on my Warhound thread

http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/30/226296.page

and in a few months received about the same as in just one day here.

I hesitate to post a lot of images of this next Warlord as I don't have permission from the creator but I hope one won't hurt. Dave Smith posted his on an open site so I figured it was okay to praise his work as long as I could provide his name to go with it.

This artist employs a sobriquet so rather than overstep the bounds I'll just post one image and hope he give permission to post the rest or better still joins this forum.

Automatically Appended Next Post:
When I first saw this image I thought it was 3D art. The block wall in the background had a definite artificial look to it and the shading just didn't fit the images. THe buildings were too crisp in the foreground and background in short everthing looked in focus which just doesn't usually happen in a photograph.

Since then I have seen the model in different settings and the overall impression I get is it's real and it's awesome. A different interpretation than Dave's but inspiring none the less.

Dave calculated his beast to be 133 feet tall that translates to 28 inches in 40K scale. this model is 26 inches tall according to the builder. Still head and shoulders above a diminuitive Warhound.

Yarr, i remmember Dave saying that he based his strictly off the epic scale warlord titan...

I personally think its better in this scale then the scale of 36" high that i hear alot of people say <_<

Why even BRING Space Marines to a battle that involves a massive Warlord like that? To take objectives, I guess!

Actually its way bigger than a warlord, he made it a new class. Its soemwhere on Warseer... he converted a mega power fist holding a limp chaos warhound titan.

You don't fit it through doors. It walks in through the wall.

2nd form botom in s.j.mccartney post is the chaos warlord titam from the old siege of the emperor's palace diorama at warhammer world in nottingham UK, sham ethey destroyed most of those old displays they were entertaining

The Imperium of Man is able to traverse the Warp with difficulty when their Emperor concentrates from his golden life support machine and lights the way. Unfortunately, because the Emperor has the attention span of the average 5-year-old Pokemon fanboy, this means that many an unfortunate Imperial ship has had the WTF WHERE'D THE LIGHTS GO experience, which in the Warp is invariably fatal.
