so, I sold my entire Ork army because I was sick of looking at it, it wasnt bad by any standard and had plenty of conversions and decent paint jobs. However I wanted more, so instead of stripping over 400 models and breaking everything apart I just gave them away and started over. The whole goal here is to have every single model converted in some significant way. Not just cutting a wrist and rotating a hand or swapping heads but major time put into every model. I decided that I would work on one model at a time (although I do drift a bit to other models when things are drying), so apart form bases (which will be done after the models are painted because I want to do some extensive base work as well, and its easier to paint the models without having to work around walls and other large pieces of terrain). So feel free to let me know what you think, I just started to work with putty so some stuff may not look as great as some of the green stuff masters out there, but I dont think it came out too bad.

this is front view of the nob. I cut his gun arm and moved in in more of a straight line as well as rotating the wrist, one of the legs was cut at the hip, rotated back and the foot cut into a better position to indicate movement. I want to go with a much more battle worn look to the models so bullet holes and cuts were added as well as a putty piece of armor on his leg. I glued a couple of rivets from the back of an ork axe onto the putty armor.

The ork boy, had one leg cut at the hip (left) rotated back and the right foot was cut to give him a charging feel. Both wrist were cut and the hands rotated and the left arm was moved out and puttied. The helmet had horns cut off and both pistols were modded. The left just had an exteded magazine added while the right had a drum mag added and the barrel extended. Along with all the accomanying holes/scratches. All of the ard boys will be weilding dual pistols (They know GunFu).

more to come as I finish them. I havent decided how I will paint them yet, my last army was death skulls. I think I may do these guys a freebooters and just have a big jumble of clans.

the last are some works in progress. The wheels are for a recrecation of the old ork monowheel for a war boss and some biker nobs (I get enough for 2 models out of a trukk, I dont use the front wheels as they are too small instead I will add tracks to the rear of the trukks in place of the removed wheels) 2 shootas, 1 has a bayonet from the big shoota out of the lootas box set, the other a chain blade (the drum shoota works the best for adding this attachment all of the other guns have large gaps that need to be filled)

basically the whole idea here is to have no 2 models the same, everyone has enough customization that it will be obvious even at a glance that everysingle model is basically it own unique individual.

no, no pics of the whole thing together and I deleted all of my apoc pics. Here is one of a 2000 point battle with only about 2/3 of my army pictured I wanted to get a shot of the size disparity (this is before they were even close to being all painted)

basically at the end I had 270 boys, 40 nobs, 45 lootas, 10 flash gitz, 9 kans, 1 dread, 2 Bwagons, 1 L wagon, 15 T bustas, 30 kommandos, 45 burna boys, 2 trukks all of the special charac. 10 Wbosses, 4 B meks and Im sure theres some stuff Im forgetting. Either way its a hassle to get everything out take a pic and put it all away, so I never did.

so heres boy#3, I messed up on the elbow (hey Im new at putty) so I had to call in the mad doc, he took a look threw some tape on it and said "walk it off" all in all it adds another element to this boy, when hes painted Ill dirty up the bandages, put some blood stains and no one will ever know the difference. Aside from marring the armor adding the ammo belt to the pistol and some minor touch ups I think hes about done (except the base of course)
