Pfff thats nothing, Im right handed, lost my right arm in nam, was born in the 80s, that caused a time rift which made some reactor in Russian melt down,nuked a whole town, then I got radiation poisoning and lost both my eyes! I have to use my left hand, stick the paint brush up the one nostril that isnt deformed, and paint by numbers. And I should add to the fact that Im illiterate

Neither. Codex Grey with Spacewolves grey highlights. Even a lackluster painter like me can make it look decent.


But yours looks good as well. I guess I'm kind of bias.

I was always rather partial to the 2nd/3rd edition scheme based on Shadow Grey with Space Wolf Grey highlights. Easy enough, but then it needed to be given how gak I was a decade ago ! ( Not much better now, to tell the truth )

I was always partial to the Shadow grey scheme, I liked to mix in a little black to make it a much darker scheme, also mixed in some blue (enchanted I think) and bleached bone for the highlights, adding a little more bleached bone for each higlight. Of course my painting sucked back then so it was a fairly basic scheme that looked alrightish. I'm actually in the process of re-painting my logan grimnar model, gonna be aiming for the dark grey/blue scheme and I've had my first go at NMM, you can see pics in my thread on this forum!

I think that they grey is a bit too light. I would pick a darker color, but thats my tastes.

Heres my Wolf Lord I use Chaos Black and Codex Grey. IMO the darker the Space Wolves the better. Also it doest really matter what color you paint them as long as there are a shade of grey. I don't remember ware it says it but here goes. Each Wolf Lord is responsible for the paint and the heraldry of his company, as long as its within normal limits of Space Wolves color. Or something along those lines. Also I think that Space Wolves are Vikings in space. Not light blue puppies . So once again the Darker the better.

My current wolves use Fenris grey from the foundation line as base color and then highlight up using shadow grey or white.

I hate the blue/grey of the SW, I like them better with darker greys

Anyway, personally I would mix Codex Grey and Shadow Grey if I were doing Wolves. I don't like the really bright blue schemes that much.
