Hi! I only started playing again last year, tried playing as a kid during 2nd edition but didn't have the time or money, now I do! My chapter are a codex Blood Angels chapter, I've not settled on a name yet but think I like Red Jackals.

I thought I'd post up some of my painting to see peoples opinion, it's fairly basic but I'm still learning

EDIT: I'm slowly editing this page with better pics

In a world gone mad, who is left to fight for truth, justice and all that gets you smashed for under a fiver....

First played 40k during 2nd edition, missed out 3rd and 4th, and haven't played 40k since 5th edition - but still read and occasionally paint

Looks pretty good to me. In a weird way, I even like the odd purple color in there.

Is that the purple on Commander Erazmus and the Techmarine? If so all my models had that but it's difficult to pull off well on a regular basis so I repainted with Liche purple It's just Hormagaunt purple with Azurmen blue wash.

It looks great. By the way, did the dread lose a fight with a sandblaster? That's the most extreme battle-damage I've ever seen.

I didn't convert it too well so it's to hide my poor work with green-stuff I've got a Vindicator that's even worse, I did that one because it used to be a looted wagon so had lots of glue scars from where I had removed Orky bits

Nice. Could possibly name them "emporer's pointy sticks..." hurr hurr.

Just kidding. I do think the purple fits the palette while providing a nice contrast. Very well done, thanks for sharing!

The Captain has a terminator one, just cut off the shoulder and glue on a standard one The standard bearer has one from the GW bits section (either a five thunder hammer and storm shield kit or Iron Hands conversion pack i think), Erazmus already has one as he is the 2008 Games Day special I know their special ability wont be used much but I'm willing to pay 5 point for coolness

Cheers, it's done with a mix of bleached bone with blazing orange, then a Sepia wash, then highlight with the original colour
