I am wondering why gw has not post the ard boyz scen yet with less than 2 weeks b4 the actual event i know pepole are getting frustrated so lets see if we can get them to speed it up. post your comments about what you think

I think we need socialized healthcare. I would like to see a larger global infrastructure of clean energy. I think that people have the right to choose to have a baby or to abort it. I think people who are homosexuals should have the same rights to marriage or contract between two people as others.

I think we need to rehabilitate prisoners instead of punish to reduce recidivism. I think that we should treat drug addiction as a disease and treat them as a psychiatric disorder much like we do alcoholism.

I don't think that we should have initially gone to war with Iraq. I think we should have a better mass transit infrastructure in all major US cities.

I think Gamesworkshop ultimately has failed completely with their Ardboyz tournament and while it is a noble endeavor it is somewhat hypocritical. They adhoc a tournament and then state over and over again that the game is not competitive yet, they promote a nationwide tournament.

well i agree with you on most of thethings you said except that thing about internet shorthand anyway i dont know what any of that had to do with gw posting the scen for rd2 but jhon if you see this post those secnerios dude were on the edge of our seats here

I would like to see the scenarios soon!!! And this year the Ard Boys has been supported very well. Better then in earlier years. I would say THIS year they are doing a great job. Would still like to see the scenarios.

Seriously, you don't need two weeks to read a scenario. Being able to play umpteen games and practice the scenarios isn't always going to happen. Having two weeks to deliberately tweak your army isn't a right.

well just so you know the person who is in charge of writting the sceniros for ard boyz does read the dakka fourms and i did speak to one of the guys from gw early this week and he said that the sceniros would be posted this weekend. so i am just tryin to get them to speed up the process and yes ard boyz this year has been great and alot of fun. as far as beeing able to tweek your army to fit the scenerios absolutely you should be able to. take for instance that 5 kill point hq thing that was something that needed to be known before the event because that caused alot of problems for certain list and any one who competes in ard boyz should be competive and they also prally dont want to waist there time there for they should know what to expect when they arrive.

I also believe that GW will get the scenarios up when they are ready, if they ever do, and the wishes of one person to get them up faster will not matter.

You aren't. Because somehow you think that posting things here is going to speed things up. It isn't. You do know that the weekend isn't even over, and you're already in panic mode?

If you are worried that you "prally" are "waist" your time, then it might not be something you should attend. 3 people will move on to nationals, the rest won't, odds are against you already.

I don ot know about anybody else,but I actually look forward going to the semis not facing lists that have been tested and streamlined for specific scenarios.Should put everyone back on a more even footing like it should be to begin with.

the only thing your running is your mouth. you are the one that doesnt know anything because making your voice heard does get results. and keeping your mouth shut wont do anything the sceniros should be posted and they should have been posted the day after the preliminaries. i will attend and i will win and i will go to the fianals if you care to make a wager then let me now if not go post your negitive comments else where son. as for the wager i will tell you were i am playing and my army i am taking and my name if i win the semis then you have to give me a cyber but kiss and if i dont win i will give you one. o and win classifys as 1st 2nd or 3rd.

Why should they be posted early?Why should we not know the scenarios until the day of.I am wondering why anyone could get this angry over this?Just show up with the list you think you can win with play the three games and then move on or not.In the end it is just a game and we are suppose to be playing for the fun and enjoyment of it.Or at least thats why I do anyway.

first off i didnt break any rules. second i am not going to argue with you to fools i play to win and winning is fun. so if the question is weither or not i have fun i guess that depends on weither or not i win. under other sercumstances i would not be worried about the sceniros but in this case i am playing for a 2500 point armie and i am driving 2 hours to do so. if you are just playing for fun then i hope i play you but i know there are pepole who feel like me and the way the ard boyz has always been run is the sceniros are released before the event. i am saying they need to do it faster period if you disagree thats fine dont look at them when there posted come and play for your fun time and i will be smiling all the way to chicago.

Yes, you've broken Rule #1 multiple times.

They only released the scenarios officially early last year, not every year. The year before that they were leaked to a few people hence the reason they decided to release them 1-2 weeks before the event.

On a side note where are you playing Tony?

Anthony, please, calm down a bit. You're taking things way too seriously. It's a tournament, not a deathmatch. Despite the prizes, most people are coming to have fun. A 'win at all costs' attitude is not going to make it fun for you, your opponents, or the judge.

As a person who judged the Ard boyz last year in my town I agree with mikhaila.I had quite a few people show up to win at all cost.IIt was no fun for me or for the opponents of these people.

Makes me wish I was playing in PA....

Wow, seriously people get this up set over a tournament where they could possibly win $500 worth of nerd fun, aka a 2500 pt army?

I saw people get less upset over the National MTG tournament where Grand Prize was like $100k or something.

The following bit is the part of the rules I think everyone should read right before the tourney starts:

Note about Judges, Rulz and being a Git

All participants be advised: all judges rulings are final.
This applies to rulings during games as well as all
matters of health and safety.

‘Ard Boyz tournaments are all about commanding
large armies and doing your best to blast your
opponent to bits. At its heart though, the ‘Ard Boyz is
about having fun. So don’t be a git! In other words do
your best to win, but win nicely.

Anyone not adhering to these principles may be asked
to leave the tournament.
