Has anyone tried this out, is it any good? I'm really just looking for something to do base coats and camo patterns on vehicles with it, but if it has any detailing options it'd be nice too...I'm just not willing to invest in it if it's not any good.

Probably should've busted out the search-fu skills on this one man. Lot's of reviews of it, some good some bad.

To answer your questions:

Base Coats and Camo patterns = Ok (not phenominal)

Detailing = Never

My opinion go to Harbor Frieght tools and get a 15 dollar single action for base coating, at least the nozzle is adjustable. For a lot more bang on your buck I'd recommend a Paasche VL series, you can nab them on ebay for 60 dollars with a full kit of Large - Medium - Detail needle kits and free shipping.

Dont buy it in my opinion. Too expensive for the quality.

I feel like a broken record, but GW Hobby products = fail. They're over-priced and their quality is dubious. Don't buy their brushes, their pin vices, their pliers, etc. You're simply paying extra for the letters "GW" on the package, that should be enough warning.
