hey im just about almost consructed my guard army and would like some VOTE and feed back or suggestions

i have these 3 paint schemes i have seen on dakka that have somewhat inspired me but only 1 can be chosenn
and if anyone can tell me what GW paints would fit the colours


generaly just the armour and camo on this one *me personaly am heading towards this one* also reminds me of a camo version of the starshiptroopers


the whole desert camo idea is good and relates to present day combatish style and can be weathered up nicely


the green machine i would make the MARINE corps of the 40k relating to the troopers of ALIENS and the halo 3 UNSC troops aswell as some ww2 angles

so pleaseeee help me out here

Brown being one of my favorite colors, I voted for the desert scheme. Although all of them are viable, I'm not too familiar with the whole line of GW paints. I would guess that you would have an easier time with the standard marine colors if you had to stick with just those, but I suggest going with what you think you'd like to paint and try it out with a different brand if it fits the color scheme better.

DESERT!!!! Desert is so underrated. Some of my most favourite armies are desert themed

I play a ton of cities of death... so I had to vote urban.

BTW, I too got my inspiration for my paint scheme from a Halo game: Halo CE's (the first Halo game for those of you who don't know the franchise very well) UNSC marines, with their metal carapace-looking armor and gray fatigues underneath.

yea i was playing halo 3 a while ago just goofing around in the mission and studied one of the soldiers witch looked dif to the halo 2 ones, his camo was awsome!was a greeny greyish that stood out from the green armour

and with the desert scheme would i be undercoating in white? or black

If you like to "mix" dessert-camo with urban-camo, you should use the German-camo of captured British tanks in WWI - I've used this camo on my Baneblade...

The main colours, I've seen in "German Panzers 1914-1918" (New Vanguard) published by OSPREY, are grey (I've used codexgrey...), middle brown and khaki. If you like to see my WIP Baneblade, I could show you some pics...

base bleached bone*couple of layers to get a good colour* wash in devlin mud, or as known as LIQUID GOLD then calthan brown camo stripes and chaos black and skull white chips?

If you could paint a full army the urban scheme to that quality, it would look amazing i think, but i think it could be easy to... well, bugger it up.

I vote for the BDU pattern from Oz (we had some exchange officers over here for a while and we all had a good laugh at their camo)

yea the city camo would be easy for me to paint than the desert, and i have been reserching best methods, mmm the green marines? no one realy likes em anymore so its looking like city if im gona get the army done for octobers MOAB in NSW aus

oh and i did a mock up desert scheme on a one armed striking scorpion, and compare to a city sniper i did
